I've a feeling that GTA6 is gonna be announced for a november release. I feel it in my water.

I doubt it. GTA V still makes tons of money.

I actually downloaded it again because one of my brothers got back into it, I can’t even imagine how much money they make off the game. Not only did I have to sit through basically a three minute ad for an in game casino before I could play GTA Online, but you are bombarded non stop with ads and marketing to buy stuff in the game.

Hell they could probably make a GTA V next gen port with better graphics and frame rate and make enough just off of that to fund GTA VI.

Also why so much talk in this thread about Episode One of a game from the 90’s 😆

Take-Two could probably just spend the rest of existence updating GTA V and it would make just as much money.

The are claims the developer is now doing crunch to hit the new release date, I don't like that at all as that is not good for anyone's health both physical or mental as much as I want the game I'd rather they just delay it further to avoid the long hours with little breaks.

I'm afraid without crunch the game wouldn't be ready until November, and November is next gen launch, so they want to maximize current gen sales like Rockstar did in 2013 on the same day September 17th.

Cyberpunk is no GTA, while GTA was denying a next gen release at the time (Which took over a year anyway)

Since next gen is supposed to be backwards compatible from the start, who of the early adopters would not simply wait to get it until getting a next-gen machine? I know I will wait. It would be smarter to delay until December and finish the game without crunch.

I waited for GTA 5 to come to ps4 as well btw, didn't believe Rockstar one bit, so got to play the (for me) more fun first person version :)

Worth it.

There is a huge difference between crunch and working overtime and i feel like some companies aren't really good in being clear about that.

"Why He Loves Making Games

The stuff we're working on is really cool. Technology is really interesting, to be part of the way things are evolving technically. As hardware grows, so does the software and the tech around it. To see this stuff come to life and to be part of that process is really interesting. It kind of becomes your life. You sign up for that when you get into this because, and I don't mean to sound too arrogant, but it's kind of like a higher art form in a way. So it's cool to part of that process.

You sacrifice some things to do that and be part of that. There are a lot of people who come into the industry that are fresh; they don't really understand what it takes to do it. So we get a lot of new guys coming in, and they go, 'Oh god, this is like too much.' But then we have other guys come in from Rockstar Games, and they're like, 'This is not even crunch!' We're doing the best we can to keep the work under control. But sometimes when you're doing some big-ass game like this, it's not always possible to do that. It takes really hard work to make it really awesome."

I do not think it is easy to avoid having periods of working overtime for companies like this but it is ofcourse important to always try to minimize it even when most of the workers like earning something extra for a while, workers can have the choice and naturally some will feel pressured. We do not really know a lot besides their practices toward the consumers so it is very hard to be sure of anything.
It is a thousand times more easier to condemn a company the likes of EA because we assume they treat their employees the same as us.

I like the talk about crunch , like One or two months would stop the crunch lol

They delayed Witcher 3 What ? 3 or 4 Times? After that release and still the game was full of bugs, PS4 version had terrible frame rate they probably crunched for 2 months after release to fix all the problems
,this game Will BE even worse.

They probably are crunching since last year or even worse

Them hyperboles.
