That $199 entry price for Switch is did wonders this past holiday season.

Yep and the fact both can coexist each other without having a price drop is amazing. Its like how phones have the OG version and a +version when they launch.

according to benji on twitter, the ratio of switch OG to switch lite is more than 3:1 (and that was pretty early on), so it's still the 299 SKU doing most of the work.

Bet with flashfire926: I think switch will win November NPD, and he thinks xbox one will win (if ps4 is victorious, it's a draw). Loser has to state that they lost in the signature for some time.

Yeah, he said sales of the Lite during the holidays were less than impressive. It's definitely the main unit doing the lion's share.

Sure, let's pretend the lite did anything major. Sales show it's not very desirable.

I'll never understand the appeal of Call of Duty. Played a few of them at friends houses throughout the years, but the games are just not for me.

That would mean less than 500k for the Lite in December and therefore more than 1.5m for the hybrid. In 2018 it did 1.7m on the back of the biggest launch of an exclusive game in US history (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), in 2019 there was no first party release in December, so a slight decline is no reason to worry. Goes to show how much people continue to want the Nintendo home console experience.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I'm sure it did and it's in a great position. But, let's also not act like the 2M was achievable without the extra sales that the $199 SKU brought in.

Nobody is acting like that. You are the guy who claimed that the Lite did wonders this past holiday season, so the only person who needed to be corrected was you.
