I'll never understand the appeal of Call of Duty. Played a few of them at friends houses throughout the years, but the games are just not for me.

I'm sure it did and it's in a great position. But, let's also not act like the 2M was achievable without the extra sales that the $199 SKU brought in.

Lol. Well, except those surprised it did this without a price cut. Ignoring it is available for $199.

Let's pretend PS4+free games at $199 is expensive than Switch lite at $199.

"Wonders" is quite an exaggeration.

The fully featured standard Switch is still $299, didn't even get a Black Friday/holiday discount, and the majority of sales came from this SKU.

Even if the Lite made up only 20% of sales, that is still an extra 407K units sold in Dec.  Of course, my guess is it is closer to 25%-30%, as it currently sits at 36% of total sales in Japan for this year.  There's no denying that the $199 Lite more than likely saved it from being down YOY and is 100% what helped it hit the 2M mark.

Not sure why pointing out this simple fact after someone wrongly stated "2M without a pricecut!" seems to upset some.

Probably because it WASN'T a price cut!

Maybe not to the OG Switch model, but there was indeed a cut to the entry price point. And without that cut, it would most likely not have matched last year's numbers, let alone hit 2M.

Pure conjecture. You really can't prove it did or didn't 1 way or the other.
