That PS4 dropped was harder than many people thought. Even at $249 with 3 free games for 2 weeks it failed to pass the 700k mark. Next year is going to be harder for PS4 at the current MSRP.

It's easy to set a record for the generation when you're alone in that generation.

How much PS4 will drop in 2020 based on your estimation for the US and WW?

I think you're quoting the wrong person.

It's time for the $149-199 super slim with the top loading disc drive.

I am all for these leaks as it means I can adjust VGChartz figures to be in line with NPD as they are able track a much larger percent of the market than we are.

Can i ask you what precise percent of the market you guys track? I heard it was less than 1% some years ago, is it bigger now?

Only the owner of the site, ioi, knows the percent and where we get our figures from. The algorithm is run every week then I go in and make necessary adjustments before I post the hardware each week from what we do know about sales from around the world. Ie. Famitsu, NPD, official sources, etc.

Numbers makes a huge difference, this thread was barely 2 pages now to 5 since this morning lol

You're welcome

Thank you for posting the leaks from ResetEra. While adjustments always take time, I'd rather have our numbers be as accurate as possible.

Bloody hell it feels so good to get NPD numbers again, I'd almost given up on them after so many months without.

So Switch did indeed have the best December of any system in the last 8 years, nice.

I'm saying that for months now: The PS4's sales will be coming down fast, very fast.

I mean, just look at the weekly sales: The lowest the PS4 hit last year was 175k and now it's already at 156k in January - and the first 3 months are generally higher than the 6 who follow afterwards (outside of big releases and/or promotions during that period).

Yep, the PS4 numbers are expected. People are predicting too high of numbers for the PS4 at its high price.

A price cut PS4 on the other hand... But we know that won't happen with PS5 coming.

Let’s hope for more numbers this year
