Another clean sweep for Switch!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Another 10/10 for the Switch

Dr Kawashima opening not that great, but it also did not get that much of a budget so it should be fine. Legs gonna be more interesting.

Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training would be in top 5 of biggest Franchise falls in Gaming History.
Yokai Watch would probably make that 5 as well

Nintendo has japan under lock..... though 81k+ isnt bad for the PS4 either.

Switch is up by more than 1m YOY thanks to this last week of the year!

And it's almost exactly the number of Switch Lite sold LTD

Switch closed out 2019 with a win over 2018 in the final week which gave it enough of an edge in cumulative YTD difference to surpass the 1m mark, but not enough to top 4.5m in 2019.

2019 was a year where Switch jumped out to an early lead and had quickly built an advantage of 200k units, followed by smaller gains until about the halfway mark of the year where the lead amounted to 350k units. Then the early announcements of two new SKUs took their toll on weekly sales and the year over year lead declined to 300k before the updated hybrid SKU launched and extended the lead to 400k. The launch of Switch Lite created massive gains in the following weeks and the yoy lead grew to its highest point of 1.11m before last year's big December title Super Smash Bros. Ultimate chipped away at it, amounting to a total deficit of 150k units in just three weeks. Week 52 means that Switch is heading into 2020 with better momentum than it was having entering 2019, but the first challenge will occur soon because January 2019 had New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe which sold steadily for months whereas 2020 will have to wait until March for its first significant title of the year; that one, however, is a bigger deal than anything 2019 had in its entirety.

It's certainly in the cards for 2020 to beat the performance of 2019, but it will definitely be a smaller victory than 2019 had over 2018.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

A Biased Review Reloaded / Open Your Eyes / Switch Gamers Club

The Switch definitely had a really good year last year. I am excited to know what else it has in store for this year. I am suspecting we will get some amazing surprises this year and we have not yet seen the Switch's final form.

Graph made by @hiska-kun who we miss here on VGC.

PS2, GBA, 3DS and Switch all launched in March, so this makes for good launch alignment. Switch is in good company and has the momentum to go above the GBA line in 2020 and close the gap to the 3DS by a bit (1m+).

Not on the graph is the DS because it's in a whole nother league.

Good performance by Switch hardware and software, I'm wondering if Switch sales is going to increase in week 1.
