Nintendo Switch has won each of the 12 NPD months in the USA in 2019 and therefore was unsurprisingly the best-selling console of the year. Such a sweep - winning every single month of the year - is no easy feat.
Will Nintendo Switch pull it off in 2020 again? The road to the sweep is manageable enough. The aging Sony and Microsoft consoles are a long shot to put up a fight and Switch is attaining sales of ~1.5m in each of the holiday months, so the successors of the PS4 and XB1 will have to shatter previous launch records by significant margins in order to prevent Switch from achieving back to back sweeps.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.
