Indeed. Once we start approaching 75 million, we might even see some 3rd party Switch exclusives. I'm honestly surprised we haven't yet. Sony must be shelling out big for their not to be a Monster Hunter Switch series underway.

Unless Nintendo pays for exclusivity it's not going to happen. Switch could go on to sell 200 million units and it'll still get barely any AAA support.

Next year will for sure be over 20 million. Nintendo has plenty of moves to make next year to have a huge year before/as the new systems launch. I think price cut is obvious at this point, I could see a price cut mid-year during the slow time to give Switch a mid-year boost, maybe do that plus finally mark down some first party games with the Nintendo Select or whatever its called these days. BotW2 plus some AA games plus maybe even another huge seller on top of AC would easily do the trick for a 20+ million year next year. Nintendo would have to screw something up (like no price cut and a weak lineup) to not sell over 20 million next year.

While I don't expect the next GTA to come to Switch, Monster Hunter is not out of the question.  Monster Hunter games have already been on Nintendo systems plenty of times before.

Evidence that Nintendo Shelled Out Money to Capcom to Have Monster Hunter on 3DS rather than Vita:

1) A Monster Hunter game was shown running on Vita hardware at the handhelds initial reveal in Japan when it was still called NGP.

2) Nintendo created and released the Circle Pad Pro for the 3DS with Monster Hunter as the marquee game in mind. The Vita already had 2 analog stick, therefore it already had optimal controls for Monster Hunter.

3) Monster Hunter released on the 3DS, with bundled special editions, the same day as Vita's launch day in Japan. It was clearly meant to counteract the Vita. The 3DS handily outsold the Vita that week.

4) To date no Monster Hunter Game has been released for the Vita.

Evidence that Sony Did Not Shell Out Money to Capcom to Prevent Monster Hunter on Switch:

1) Monster Hunter World has always been announced as a multi-platform game. It is available for the Xbox One and PC. Why would Sony allow this if it just wanted to keep the game off Switch. We have seen what it looks like when Sony wants a game Console exclusive with Capcom: Eg: Street Figther V.

This next one is very important...

2) A Monster Hunter game has already been released on Switch. It is called Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. If Sony paid Capcom to keep MH off Switch they should ask for their money back.

So there is way more evidence that my conclusion is likely and almost zero evidence that his conclusion is even possible. Yet you only asked me for proof...

Except.. there was a Monster Hunter game release on the Vita, called Monster Hunter Frontier G. So there goes your argument. In fact, you also missed out the part where Monster Hunter World was exclusive in Japan to PS4 only. So obviously Sony shelled out some money to Capcom if anything.
