What's your #1 favorite GCN game?

Super Mario Sunshine 3 4.84%

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance 3 4.84%

F-Zero GX 1 1.61%

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door 1 1.61%

Resident Evil 4 5 8.06%

Metroid Prime 14 22.58%

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker 13 20.97%

Mario Kart: Double Dash 4 6.45%

Super Smash Bros. Melee 4 6.45%

Other 14 22.58%

Total:62

I'd have flipped Eternal Darkness and RE4.  Eternal Darkness was creative and unique, but the gameplay really hasn't aged well, while RE4 is still just as good today as when it released.

In no particular order:
-Tales of Symphonia
-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-Phantasy Star Online
-Mario Kart: Double Dash
-Gladius
-Super Mario Strikers (Only with 4 players)
-TimeSplitters 2 and 3
-Guitar Hero-games
-Conflict: Desert Storm

To me, the Gamecube will always be the multiplayer-console, as I never owned the console myself, but we used to play it at my friends house all the time, so any game with a proper local multiplayer was always in rotation.

No Guitar Hero for Gamecube.

Oh, that's right. I mixed up the Wii versions there.

1. Skies of Arcadia Legends
2. Animal Crossing

I could add RE4, but the truth is I was never interested in the GameCube version of it, especially since the Wii and PS2 versions were superior - I’d say the Wii version remains the definitive.

While I am a gigantic Nintendo fan, outside of these two games GameCube was a tremendous miss for me.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Wind Waker, by far. It has aged like a fine wine, whereas the rest are either starting to feel their age or have been done better in later re-releases (looking at you, Prime on the Wii).

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Oh I forgot about Burnout 2. Graphics were pretty damn good for back in day. Oh and that wreck mode... Fucking fun trying to cause big pile up.  The single player mode towards end is hard as shit. Believe some cups they want you to get first in every race to unlock the car.  I still haven't finished it yet.  Need better car than Nascar car but I can't unlock the next car due to not getting all firsts in cup.

I know why he chose to do a Top 12. A cube has 12 edges. Simple geometry.

Love it! :D

Honestly, though, I just like a good dozen for "top" lists.

From the games I owned and played, here are what I think are the top games.

Top Exclusives:
Eternal Darkness
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Pikmin 2
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros. Melee

(Never played Pikmin and didn't play Wind Waker until it hit the Wii U. You could probably add both of those to the list. I also forgot Twilight Princess actually did come out for the GameCube.  Add that as well if you want, but I played it on the Wii and consider it more of a Wii game.)

Top Multiplatform:
007: NightFire
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Def Jam: Fight for NY
Freedom Fighters
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II
Resident Evil 4
SSX Tricky
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
TimeSplitters 2
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
Viewtiful Joe
XIII

If you want just the best of the best, look no further than Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, and Resident Evil 4.

oh man. That's tough. One of the best nintendo console libraries. i don't know about "best" but here are my "favorites" in no particular order; 1. metroid prime, 2. metroid prime 2, 3. zelda:windwaker, 4. zelda twilight princess, 5. eternal darkness, 6. x2: wolverines revenge, 7. smash melee, 8. prince of persia 1, 9. prince of persia 2, 10. prince of persia 3, 11. pikmin, 12. tales of symphonia. That was hard. didn't even get to star fox adventure, ikaruga, viewtiful joe, or the mortal kombats. What a great game library! Everytime i talk about the gamecube library i always get a little sad that star craft ghost never came out. That game cancellation was the number 1 gaming industry disappointment for me :(

Don't have the time to think about and arrange a top 12, but Twilight Princess is my favourite GameCube game. There are lots of other good ones, like Wind Waker, Smash Bros, Metroid, Pikmin. But Twilight Princess is the best in my opinion.

Dark Alliance is an absolute gem. I will always think of it as a PS2 game, since that's how I experienced it first.
