Why is this thread still open? This thread is pointless.
So is your post...
Why are so many of you trying to simply shut me up and delete my thread? This thread is not breaking any rules, nobody is flaming neither.
The problem with your thread is that you're essentially only replying to a bunch of comments like these, while ignoring ones with constructive criticism. Which makes it seem like a hit-and-run thread where you're not interested in having an honest discussion.
For that reason, and after you didn't reply to my first post, I made another one where I directly quoted you and asked you questions. But you skipped that one as well, and instead responded to a comment like this again.
So I'll ask my questions again, and please do respond this time, or the thread will get locked.
1.) What could they have reasonably done during this conference, that would make it 'not abysmal' according to you?
Keep in mind that it wasn't that long ago that MS acknowledged that their first party output could have been better, and acquired new studios to help with that. This change of direction won't happen overnight. It's not reasonable to expect a high budget AAA game to be produced already, and for a console that will be replaced in 12 months.
Those will obviously be revealed for Scarlett later, just like Sony are saving their PS5 reveals for next year.
2.) Do you think Everwild looks like a "4K indie"?
3.) In your reply to @think-man you responded with "State of Play ended with a bang with TLOU 2 trailer and release date".
While that's a high quality game, it's one we already knew about being in production for years.
So again, what could MS reasonably have done here to equate this? As far as I know they have no equivalence to this game to drop a trailer and release date for. Because they already did that with Halo Infinite months ago.
