This week's front page poll.

The Witcher TV series debuts on Netflix on 20th December (view the trailer here), but will you be watching it at all (be it on the day or some time after)?

Around the Network

I don't like the games but I know this is based more on the books. It's not the first live-action Witcher but as I understand it the movie was awful. I do like fantasy so I will give it a shot if in the mood. Still not sold on Superman in a bad woman's grey wig. I don't think it's a good thing to remind me of Samurai Cop.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Well I don't have Netflix so nope.

Played and loved all 3 games, never read the books, so im thinking of giving it a chance to see how it goes. Dont really have that much expectation tbh and I personally feel that Henry Cavil does not fit the role, but at least its star power to get viewers interested.

Probably. I've read all the books, and I like the fact that the series is based on them rather than the video games since they are genuinely excellent. Not sure if I'll follow the series as it airs, but I'll most likely get around to it at some point, provided it's not a complete failure.

Around the Network

Most likely - after watching trailer, I still find Superman with bad wig to be a bad choice for Geralt and Yennefer is completely off, but production wise it seems fairly solid.

I'll certainly give it a shot, whenever I next subscribe to Netflix. I typically subscribe for a couple of months every year to watch everything I'm interested in. It's been a while, so subscription will probably be coming soon.

Definitely! I've not played any of the games, but I do have a Netflix subscription and I like fantasy TV shows so I'll certainly be watching it.

Probably. I would be more interested if they were basing it more so on the games than on the books. Not a big fan of the racial changes they made for characters and the all around level of wokeness that seems to be going into it.

Ya, I'm cautiously optimistic about it. Henry does seem to be pretty handy with that sword, and he's got the voice down pretty good. I've never actually read the books, so it'll be interesting to see a different side of the Witcher. I'm still not quite sold on their Yennefer though….she just seems a bit too young imo. Hopefully she'll have good chemistry with Cavill, at least.
