Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony's PlayStation Vue Pay TV Service Is Shutting Down

Nice to see these services shut down after so many have been cropping up as of late... Apple, Disney, and others I'm sure...

I had Vue when it first launched. It was a very decent cable streaming service. Once they started losing channels that belonged to Viacom and etc, I didn't find the service worth the price I was paying. It was good while it lasted.

Streaming is becoming very meh to me. The whole point of streaming was cheap costs with one stop shopping. Not the case anymore. Too many services to get good coverage. I'll probably just stop watching shows all together and game/read exclusively. Gotta love big business ruining a good thing.

I'd forgotten there was this service

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

Oh well at least they tried. I knew it was not doing well.

It was a decent service, but it should have been marketed outside of the Playstation brand.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Great, focus on things that actually work and make the brand stronger

Why?  I don't see how less competition is good for the consumer.

Not surprised. I feel like cable is dying because people dont like that style of service, not simply to pay less.

I rather just pay for the things I want to watch piecemeal versus an expensive monthy package that doesent have much of what I want.

I'm sure people opt for services like Netflix, Hulu and other because theyre cheaper and offer exclusive programming. I dont think the streaming TV concept is really going to thrive.
