I'm suprised they allow Decima engine on PC and announced it a week before PS4 release lol, now I'm waiting until 2020 to play this in 60 fps instead of getting it day one on PS4.

Nice. Looking forward to play it in glorious 60 fps. =)

only 60fps? why not 144 or more?

Because I don't want to spend $500 to get 144 frames, I have 4 year old GTX 970 that lets me play every game 1080p 60 fps still.

Because my laptop is only a year old and it has to last another year or two. Not planning to buy a new one anytime soon. I don't know if my measly i7 7700HQ and GTX 1070 is enough to give me 144 fps. Besides, my display is limited to 120 Hz anyway.

I have G-Sync though!

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Another point about this subject about exclusivities and all of that... I need to remind people that games like Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil were not exclusives of PS1. Games like GTA Vice City, Metal Gear Solid 2 or Silent Hill 2 were not exclusives to PS2 either. And i'm talking during the same generation, i mean, all of these games had a PC/Nintendo/Xbox port weeks/months later like it's going to happen with Death Stranding, and that did not affected one bit PS success or those games being associated with PS consoles until today.

So games like Death Stranding not being fully 100% exclusive is nothing new on Playstation history. Death Stranding will be considered an important game associated with Playstation and that's the only thing it matters to Sony. That's why each new Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts ... despite not being PS exclusives still sell 75% on average on PS4 compared to competition. And that's why the next Kojima game does, will have a PS preference anyway again.

Still not interested in the game but good to see more can play it... Just wondering what this could mean for games developed by Sony's proprietary engines. It was developed by one of Sony's engines, right?

Plenty of games developed on Sony engines have appeared on other platforms, including Nintendo consoles.  Sony has a long history of allowing that.  It's nothing new.

Letting people know the game is coming to PC ahead of a PS4 release is a great decision, if you are hunting for reasons to give people to wait on buying your game.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

True. For instance:

PhyreEngine:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1+2
The Technomancer
Dragon Quest Builders

EGO:
Dirt Rally 2.0
F1 2019
GRID (2019)

Decima:
Death Stranding

It was never an exclusive to begin with. It was announced for PC in 2015, before the game was even revealed.

It's a console exclusive.

Either way, you know better than to make remarks like that.

Ehhmmm, last time I had checked the official listing, it said Only On Playstation. I dunno if they had removed it recently, but I swear it was on it. I can find it back if you want me to.

It appeared on some countries Playstation site, but was removed some days later iirc, if that's what you're referring to. Wording there can be misleading or subject to miscommunication.
In the PR to investors, it was always worded as 'console exclusive'.

And Death Stranding was notably missing from their "Only on Playstation" promotional trailer lineup earlier this year.

But even if it had been an exclusive, I was referring to the part of your comment I bolded.

How unfortunate. Not surprising, because they originally announced the game for PS4 and PC, but nonetheless unfortunate. Hoped they would reconsider their decision.

Why?

Why what? Why i don't like to see leeches who do nothing to elevate video gaming and transformed the PC platform into a dumpster fire profit of the laurels of the ones cultivating the essential and keeping it as traditional as possible?

Hunting Season is done...

I'm fine with this so long as the game doesn't become an EGS exclusive on PC. Building another PC in preparation for Cyberpunk 2077 anyway.

They spoke.

Summer 2020 will be the greatest meme of all time in entire universe.

Reserving RTX 3080 Ti for this game!
