Forums - Sony Discussion - New IP From Naughty Dogs???? Online Only New Game Unnanounced

Looking for information on Sony titles I crossed published titles by Sony on wikipedia and there was a note to a Twitter and bombastic info.

Although they removed multiplayer from TLOU2 that was due to again ND going over and above on side projects (just like DLC for UC4 and TLOU that became standalone games). They instead are going to launch an online game.

Not interested. Sony had damn well better have secretly formed a new first party studio to take over the Uncharted IP since Naughty Dog clearly aren't interested in it anymore. It's the only Naughty Dog IP I care about, and I will be majorly disappointed if Sony just let's the IP sit and rot. Would love a new series of Uncharted games focused on his daughter.

With so many good F2P multiplayer games out there. Riot had a deluge of new titles announements recently, with even a LoL built for consoles and mobile. I hope it is at least F2P otherwise it will have no chance.

IMO they need to give the franchise a rest. I love the uncharted games but I've had enough for years now. Felt the same way about Gears of War but MS just keeps churning them out, same with Halo.

When they do bring it back. Do something new, change it up. Similar to how God of War came back but changed a great deal from the original games.

That wouldn't be a new IP though. It would just be a TLOU spinoff.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Eh, it's already been 2 years since the last Uncharted, and if Sony did decide to open a new first party studio to take over the Uncharted IP next gen, new studios take time to build and staff up, plus the time required to develop a AAA game, so we'd probably be looking at a 6 or 7 year gap between Lost Legacy and the next new Uncharted. That's a plenty long break imo. I agree about doing something new though, I would like to see a new Uncharted series with Cassie Drake as the playable character, and mostly new characters, aside from some appearances by the older characters. Some gameplay innovations would be nice, more open maps as well.

ND has never done a bad game in their entire existence so anything they announce is automatically on my radar.
That said, if this is a multiplayer - specially TLOU2 multiplayer made its own game - they can GTFO.

Now thats an idea i'd be 100% behind.

I prefer they keep UC finished and start a new IP even if it is with similar gameplay.

Sony have closed plenty of popular IPs after they finished the story on it.

I doubt a ND online game only would be so irrelevant.

For me they can rest Uncharted forever (and I love it) and start a new franchise, with new story, but with the same indiana jones feel. I like when Sony good devs bring new IPs.

Twitter say it isn't related to TLOU2, so it may be a new IP they created while planning the MP portion of TLOU2.

I would say it is just like the DLC become standalone like TLOU and UC4 had. But this time while they were doing the MP they just came to a project that could be it's own game, and maybe not even rotted on TLOU universe.

Isn’t this old news? This is why there’s no MP in LoU2
