Cool!

Main Points:

Hardware-Level Ray Tracing not Software

100GB Optical Disks

Dualshock 5 with adaptive triggers (that can offer varying levels of resistance) and haptic feedback.

It's called PlayStation 5 and not PlayStation One.

At least we got a real surprise, they really did a good job on keeping the secret of PS5 spec , beside the benchmark APU leak . PS4 got leaked 6 - 7 month before it was announced. Sony Ninja really on the level of Akatsuki .

Now i really curious what kind of Ray Tracing method  they are going to implement, are AMD going to release  Ray Tracing solution on future  RDNA  GPU (RX 5800 etc) or it's part of RDNA 2 design (RX 6000)  and  Sony borrowing RDNA 2 design and implemented to RDNA on PS5 APU. Or are they using PowerVR design , perhaps a hybrid?

"We're working on a big one right now," says Marco Thrush, president of Bluepoint Games, which most recently worked on last year's PS4 remake of Shadow of the Colossus. "I'll let you figure out the rest."

Demons Souls remake?

The trigger setting has be interested. Can't wait for the PS5, we will get a few years of slightly bridging the graphic gap between console and PC. Maybe next generation might be the point where the gaps become much less noticeable, given diminishing returns.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

"ray-tracing acceleration in the GPU hardware" =/= Hardware-Level ray tracing.

The article says "it’s not a software-level fix"

If it's not Software-Level it must be Hardware-Level.

If you're caught up on the term "ray-tracing acceleration" and think this means it's not real ray-tracing, this is the exact same term Nvidia has used for their RTX cards.

Nvidia use the RT cores for "ray-tracing acceleration in the GPU hardware"
