Now it's down to 78% on MetaCritic. Fuck you, GameSpot, and fuck you, Switch Player. -_-

9/10 from NintendoLife

"Liked it a lot." from GameXPlain

From The Escapist; "I didn't expect to enjoy such a child-friendly platformer, but Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair is a fantastic adventure full of good vibes, challenging gameplay, and dad jokes.".

I'm a little disappointed they went to 2-D. Yooka Laylee had issues, but while a lot of indies have done 2-D retro projects, not too many have tried collectathon platformers. But, at least it's good.

Huh, I might have to actually consider this game. It wasn't previously on my list.

The 3d game sold me this one. I'll buy it.

Looks like the change to 2-D style was a huge improvement.

I'm just happy the guys at Playtonic pulled it off this time. Happy to pick this one up.

I'm just happy to see a second Yooka-Laylee game period.

One problem I think Playtonic had with the first game must've been they didn't have enough people with them who worked on 3D platformers.

I have it preordered and would have bought it regardless of the reviews, as it's basically a dream come true for me, a spiritual successor of sorts to the modern DKC games made by the classic Rareware guys.

Still, nice to see it's been well received.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.
