Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rockstar just released their own game launcher, comes with a free copy of GTA:San Andreas.

lol, It'd be one thing if Take-Two made a launcher, but Rockstar? They make one game every half a decade for fcuk's sake.

Step up how? A brand new mobile game? Even less quality control? More hardware blunder?

I can hardly wait.

Not sure how exactly.  Again, im not a big PC gamer anymore so I couldn't tell you.

But Steam now has more competitors whereas before they were just on their own dominating the PC market doing whatever they want.  So if Steam wants to remain dominant, they'll have to do something to keep it that way.  It's just simple business.

A selfinflicted demise Valve is facing. In the past they could rely on convenience. To have no competent competiton in their way. With time they attracted enough developers, publishers and users granting them staying power. Meanwhile Valve itself and what made them crumbled into obscurity, halfassedness and a lets have others do the work mentality.

Just compare the SourceEngine, the career of its predecessor SourceEngine2 to Epics UnrealEngine, how they kept its success going and how they are utilizing it to bolster the EGS. It gives you an idea of what Valve could and should've done. Amongst other things...

You're saying you don't want more launchers. But there is plenty of space left on your desktop. Besides, there aren't many gamespublisherinternetcompanies left who potentially could launch their own launcherstores. Maybe two dozens at maximum. That would only be twice as many launcherdigitaldistributiondigitalrightsmanagementstreamingsubscriptionservicestores as there are now.

The hell kind of comment is this? You don't know what my desktop looks like. What a weird ass thing to say.

What are trying to tell me? The reason why you don't want more launchers is because there is no space left on your desktop? What about the taskbar?

Okay well tell your country not to ship any products to us and we won't buy them.  Your loss.

To be fair, Rockstar today basically only exists to operate and make money off of GTA Online.
