No, I played 8 first but 9 is my favorite.

And I've played so many of them it will take me ages to list them, its better to list the ones i haven't played which are..... Hmm i can't think of any xD

So the first Final Fantasy i played anything of was 7, but only an hour of it or so mostly watched by friend play it. Made considerable progress in 6 on the SNES Classic, but never finished it. First one i completed was 15, and then i completed 12. Would call 15 my favorite so far

One thing to warm my heart though is that you guys have played plenty of FF S2
Myself only discovered it at the end of PS1 life, and will probably play the earlier ones just through remakes.

1 - First was 3 on the SNES. Yes, I know it's actually 6. I liked it!

2 - Favorite is 13. Go **** yourself. My favorite mainline anyways, closely followed by 13-2. My favorite Final Fantasy game in general is Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1.

3 - I've only played 6, 7, 13, and 13-2 in the mainline, and FF Tactics and FF Tactics Advance 2 in spinoffs.

I didn't like Final Fantasy 7. I didn't like it so hard, it killed my interest in the main series for over a decade. I didn't know Aerith died until years later. I never finished it, and sold my copy to a pawn shop because I needed money for weed. Yeah!
