Forums - Sports Discussion - The NFL Thread 2019: The Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIV

Who do you believe will have a stronger defense in 2020?

Patriots 2 66.67%

Steelers 1 33.33%

Total:3

This Patriots offense would be a dumpster without Edelman make no mistake, but he's also been dropping more and more balls every week. He's needed time off ever since that rib injury week 2/3, but when you trade or cut every other productive receiver on your offense you don't have much choice.

Jesus Christ. May as well just flip a damn coin throwing the ball to Jakobi Meyers. He'll either turn a 5 yard catch into 30, or just drop an absolute cruicial 3rd down gift, which was a damn difficult throw between the coverage too.

Cowboys will win against the cheaters known as the patriots.

You guys are lucky the rest of your division sucks so bad, or you'd be a sixth seed at best.

I mean, you're not wrong….but Patriot fans shouldn't talk about how weak other people's divisions are xD

Bills would be leading 3 other divisions, and Jets just annihilated a supposedly good Raiders team, just like they murdered the Cowboys so badly that their ghosts haunted them into the next week.

Just because terrible teams sometimes beat good teams doesn't mean they're not bad teams.

The Bills are solid, but let's not pretend that the AFC East hasn't been one of the weaker divisions in football for years. Or that the Bills would have an 8-3 record this season playing in 3 other divisions. Between seeing the Jets, and Dolphins twice, and then getting to play the Giants plus Bengals to boot...you gotta really try to come out with a bad record.

It...hasn't really, though. Since realignment (2002), the AFC East has the best winning percentage of any division in football. And even when you remove every division's winningest team over that timespan (controlling for the Patriots), the AFC East still posts the fourth best winning percentage of any division. Not amazing, but still in the top 50% of divisions.

If you want to know why the rest of the East looks bad consistently, it's usually because they're in the same division as New England. Not always the case, obviously (last year's AFC East was by and large an unmitigated disaster), but the division is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.

Next week is going to be the toughest challenge yet for the 49ers.
As great as their defense is, if there's one weakness they have, it's defending QBs that can run. (i.e. Kyler Murray; Russell Wilson.)
And Lamar Jackson is arguably the best running QB in the game right now.

I fucking hate the Packers.....

They lost a close game. I knew that they weren't quite ready to win in San Francisco.

Given what I've seen from the Seahawks yesterday, you should be happy with a wild card spot anyway.

Don't even get me started on that Eagles Seahawks game....one of the worst I've seen in a while
