Probably not, I enjoyed the first game and played it a ton back in the day, but after at least half a dozen attempts have never managed to get more than ten hours into Borderlands 2, not bothered with the Presequel thing either... think I'm just fed up of the franchise, and the trailers they've been showing off haven't really impressed me. My girlfriend is a huge Borderlands fan though so chances are she'll buy it and try and make me play co-op with her, lol.

I have the same problem. I can see that BL 2 is prettier and bigger, but for some reason, it doesn't click on me like the first one did.

It's one of the reasons I can wait for the GOTY edition, to learn and see more of it and try to figure out if I'll like it or not.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

After Phoenix Point, I swore off all Epic time-exclusive games until they're either super heavily discounted or free (via PS+ or GamePass). Til then, pass.

PS. I know I can buy the game via Xbox or Playstation (I was actually planning to buy it on my PS), but it's a principle thing. I'm old and busy enough to not really have all the time for games and I mostly just buy the games I want to support due to quality (for example, I bought Witcher 2 on PC and Playstation) and never really played it.

For sure. Borderlands games are fun! I couldn’t care less about some YouTube account getting deleted because they figured a way to look at private streams. I don’t know the guy, don’t care about him, and honestly I don’t care about the people that make the game either. The only thing that matters to me is if the final product is any good.

The amusing part is that the guy himself says what he did was pretty crappy and that others are exaggerating things because of their own agendas, as we see with the OP.  It's not like there is some pure principle or moral high ground here.  A Youtuber tried to get views by using information that he knew was supposed to be confidential.  If his content gets taken down, the biggest reaction that's going to get from me is a shrug.

If the critics of the game are good : yes.

Yes. I don't give a shit about all this peripheral stuff. Just about playing games I enjoy.

Funny enough, I just completed Borderlands 1 and all its DLC. I also just started in on Borderlands 2 with my brother and a friend. We really have no plans on picking up the 3rd. Maybe after a few years when it drops in price and comes to Steam.

No need to focus on this story in particular. There are plenty of reasons already to not buy the game. Randy Pitchford alone is a reason to boycott and so is the fact that it's published by Take Two.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

i will buy it later because of the couch coop, i hope it has 4 player split screen as well

If I was gonna not buy a game every time the publisher associated with it did something questionable, I'd never get to buy any games.

It's a strong Game Pass contender in a year or so. So that's a no for me.
