1980. That was the last time I used an antenna with a TV at my parents place. I would be very curious to see what I could pick up with an antenna now. Think I would get anywhere from 1 to 3 channels.

The sad thing is, when our cable went out 5 years ago we could pick up a few analog channels (without even an antenna, just a piece of coax cable attached) and they were better quality than the digital HD channels... No pixelation! All analog channels are gone now, there's a few digital channels you can pick up but then you get the worst of both worlds. Atmospheric noise causing the signal to break up and compression artifacts, yay.
It's kind of sad to think that there are millions of people who have never had the joy of adjusting rabbit ears on a TV while your family calls out instructions.
