Still in my Top 5 JRPG played off all time so there's nothing I'd say that could possibly go wrong ;)

More so the music is really neat (I'd go with the original, the remastered one is hit n' miss imo), the 2 main characters (one who people can't stop spamming his laugh and the other the bae of the franchise) are truly the apotheosis of this franchise in term of actual romance in the FF franchise. True the game is linear but there's still much to do anyway so you won't obviously in need to simply go forward all the time.

How's the gameplay and story in your opinion ? anything to say about that ?

Also i heard that something about the soundtrack like in the remaster you have options to chose the original or new .. or am i wrong ?

I preferred XII myself, but X was still a good game. The world was a long hallway but there was still plenty to do and the scenery was pretty.

The battle system is actually quite good. It's the first strictly turn-based battle system in the series since it was on the NES and was well done. It required its own unique strategy, and it lets you see which turns are coming up so you can prepare accordingly. The ability to switch out party members in-battle is a nice touch, and the game often forces you to make use of your full spectrum of party members, even in regular random battles.

Blitzball... ehhh. It has its moments.

The battles are probably the highlight of the game they are very fast and fluid plus the monster design is really cool, also the sphere grid which is the way you customize your characters is among 5he best in the series.

When one person tells you it's boring and another tells you it's not...

It's a Final Fantasy game, all FF experiences are new ones and no matter what, the quality of the game in general is always outstanding. Just give it a go!

Every FF game is extremely linear, with FFXV and the MMOs being the only exception. The games open up in the very late stages of the game but it's mostly just an illusion of openness.

I'm not a particular fan of FFX, then again I also don't like FFVII and FFVI very much. But if you want to play any FF game then play FFIX. It's the most solid and polished of all FF games.

For me FFX was a big departure from VII, VIII and IX which I loved. They changed the formula and never went back and for me, it was a bad thing. The newer ones are not bad games, but they just don't feel like FF to me like the older ones. They feel like graphical polish has taken most of the work and the games have become linear and action based, the sense of adventure and exploring the world is gone. FFXIII was the last one I bothered to play, it just sealed the deal and I decided FF is not for me anymore.

Fantastic game!

So i'm a RPG/JRPG fan and a fan of some FF games i liked FFXV quite a bit and i freaking can't wait for FFVII remake ! Also i might pick up FFVIII remaster cause there are rumors around that it might get a physical release. I wanna get into more FF games and X remaster has been on my mind for quite some time now, i really wanna buy it but every time i look at some gameplay vids i get discouraged because i'm scared of how very linear the game looks (not that i have anything against linear games far from it) but somehow it just doesn't click with me being a FF game... i need more freedom in my JRPG.

It's linear, but it's very story driven. There's more choices later in the game.

The game is amazing, and it's one of my favorites to this day.

Also X's world, character design isn't quite my taste i'm more into worlds or better i should say i'm a sucker for worlds like FFXV,FFVII and Xenoblade Chronicles you know fantasy mixed with crazy badass weapons and technology but over here in FFX there is literally a guy that attacks with a volleyball lol. It all just seems mehh to me so i want you to kick my ass down in the comments for saying all this and convince me to buy this game!

Woah, don't diss my good man Wakka.  He's got all these:

Ummm badass ?? xD but i wonder how can he slam dunk those metal balls with spikes though. :P

I hear ya .. FF is one divisive franchise for sure. I know i should definitely give it a go i would love to play all of FF games in time or at least try them out but i wanted to hear some opinions here first and it seems like that FFX is one of the most loved FF games out there.
