Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Witcher 3 revealed for the Switch!

Anything, everything could happen. like SONY working together with Microsoft for cloud gaming, or Final Fantasy 7 remake are true. Even if Switch seems underpowered to run this games, it still can happen. I just want to see how the graphic will look like if this true?

Maybe just gwent lol

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I would be incredibly interested to see how this game will run on Switch. The minimum requirements are higher than what the Switch can provide.

I was going to get this game on PC eventually since it is where it should be played but a Switch version will still be interesting to see.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Doom(2016) run almost on par with undocked switch, but yes, on paper it's stronger than the switch, but it also have to run windows and the games don't have any kind of optmization specific for this hardware.

This guy gets doom to run nearly 60fps on GPD2. seems like GDP 2 is a good step up from switch in terms of power. that's only with a bit of tweaking.

40-60fps on not so busy scenes and at 960x544 resolution yes

If true, most likely a cloud version like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and RE7.

It's more different than more or less powerfull.  It has a superior CPU, but a vastly inferior GPU.  So some areas of performance are better, others worse.  They are similar in overall capabilities.  This doesn't however guarantee Witcher 3 is a thing.

Witcher 3 Switch footage.

Lol.

Didn't you know Hellblade Switch port ?

Hellblade is super linear and a very small world game, you only fight 1 enemy each time. The Witcher 3 is a massive open world and you have to fight many enemies at the same time. Very different situation

Well I only brought it up because this is a current gen open world game with a lot going on.  A port would be an enormous undertaking.

I don't know. Skyrim and BotW prove that such games can work on the Switch. It depends on whoever makes the port, which version is used to port it and the efford dedicated to it.

Except Skyrim is a last gen game while BoTW is also on Wii U which is only slightly stronger than PS3/360. The Witcher 3 is a full open world with modern graphic settings for 8th gen systems

At 240P/sub 20 fps. Let's be realistic here.

Now that's unrealistic.

If you kept the settings at Ultra, then yeah. But if you lower the settings a bit, you should be able to get 720p30.

I will talk with anyone i want, especially if that person think Hellblade and The Witcher 3 are the same case. I'm a Nintendo fan but also try to be a realistic guy, The Witcher 3 on Switch will be 240p/15fps undocked and 480p/20fps docked, even base ps4/xbox 1 struggled to maintain the 30fps
