Hello again VGC!
In addition to our newest moderator, Hiku, the team has undergone several other changes. Many of you probably know Miguel_Zorro. He was Head Mod from 2015 until now. We'd like to thank Miguel for his services and look forward to any guidance he may give the current team going forward. To get everyone caught up, Ryuu96 and myself have taken on the role as Head Moderators and will continue to serve the site the best that we can. We also work very closely with Machina, TalonMan, and Trunks to continue to bring you site fixes, updates, etc, etc. Thank you to everyone else who has had a massive impact on the current climate (this includes our Beta Testers and GameDB Staff)!
Coming back to The Mod Team, we will also be changing how new moderators are hired. Instead of a grand application process, we're going to bring things back to a time of hand picking at the right moment (much like the days of Naznatips' role as Head Mod). We feel that it is easier to make it happen and we have quite a bit of moderators on the site. This does not mean that you can't reach out to us and inquire about a position, but the application process will be altered in favor of this old & new system.
Next, perhaps you've been keeping up with our site updates. Thanks to heavy input from Ryuu, we worked with Talon to bring Shortcuts to VGC (more on that here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=240139&page=1#) What does this mean for mods? Well, if there is a Thread Warning, for example, instead of having to scroll through said thread to see it, you can click the 'Shortcuts' button at the top and it'll take you directly to the post. This way, there's more transparency and it gives everyone a chance to be on the same page. Just one of a few administrative changes headed to the site (more on that in a later topic)!
On behalf of The Mod Team, I'd like to thank you!
