The fact that NSMBUDX sold 3mil is pretty amazing! See what a Mario port can do!
3D World should be the next one.

Errr ... what? Smash already outsold Smash Brawl for the best selling title in the series and will cruise past Odyssey and Zelda LTD soon enough. It's also already the top selling fighting game (any franchise) in the history of video games.

Almost 14 million in 4 months is underwhelming?

Expected 14.5-15M.

Then you should have said "It sold well but I expected more"  because those numbers are definetly not underwhelming.

Look at this software numbers:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 16.69 million units
Super Mario Odyssey 14.44 million units
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 13.81 million units
Zelda: Breath of the Wild 12.77 million units
Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu / Eevee 10.63 million units
Splatoon 2 8.70 million units
Super Mario Party 6.40 million units
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe 3.31 million units
1-2 Switch 2.97 million units
Mario Tennis Aces 2.64 million units
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 2.25 million units
Kirby Star Allies 2.56 million units
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 1.18 million units
Octopath Traveler 1.17 million units (excluding Japan)
Yoshis Crafted World 1.11 million units
Nintendo Labo Variety Kit 1.09 million units

I think it's very plausible to have a 10m top ten list. We're half way there, and Splatoon will reach 10m eventually. 8th gen Pokemon will reach it too, as well as Animal Crossing. Maybe Labo combined could reach it as well.

Te way it's selling NSMBUD could reach it, too. Unless SMM2 cuts off it's legs in June. In any case, one of both certainly will also reach that mark.

Great software sales but hardware is a bit soft. It's tough to sell 20+ mill a year if you're relying on a narrow catalog of really 1st party games to sell to everyone, that's the downside of not having the type of 3rd party support Sony/MS enjoy (or even something half way close).

And it all disappears come 2020.

A-mazing! The Switch is already close to 35 million.

I wonder what BotW LT will be, could be 15 million. Also, where can I find Xenoblade 2 numbers?

So the Q3 forecast for this quarter (Q4) was 1.7m HW for Switch, and it did 2.5m I think.

SW forecast for Switch was 11m and it did ~24m.

So after downgrading their forecast, they did quite well against their lower forecasts.

Overall about 17.5m a year. That would average to close to ~90m in 5 years.

Nowhere, we only know that it reached 1.53m units as of september 2018. Nintendo only provides sales of the 10 most selling games in the quarter and LT

Zanark best Inazuma Eleven pg

Why should it? Next gen consoles?

As long as PS4/XBO will get support from 3rd party publishers, Switch will also, as they will certainly get one and the same version starting 2021 to save money.
