Forums - Politics Discussion - Alex Jones Claims Psychosis Made Him Believe SAndy Hook Shooting Was Staged

Media host and known purveyor of conspiracy theories Alex Jones stated in a deposition that he had a form of psychosis in the past that made him believe Sandy Hook (and many other tragic events) were all staged.

Jones makes this claim as he is being sued by several parents who have been harassed for years by fans who believed Jones' theory that those people were crisis actors. Jones has perpetuated his false flag theory of Sandy Hook even after a parent took their own life just 5 days ago.  Jones has posted the physical address for many of the parents, including the aforementioned suicide victim, with direct suggestions that his followers harass them.

Jones has never made mention of this psychosis until he was being cross-examined during the deposition yesterday.

He further claims his psychosis was induced by the media constantly lying about the tragedies they report which drove him to come to the conclusion that all tragedies reported by the mainstream media were staged, hoaxes or false flag operations.

“And I, myself, have almost had like a form of psychosis back in the past where I basically thought everything was staged, even though I’m now learning a lot of times things aren’t staged.”

“Well, I’m just saying that the trauma of the media and the corporations lying so much, then everything begins ― you don’t trust anything anymore, kind of like a child whose parents lie to them over and over again, well, pretty soon they don’t know what reality is.”

Except that his psychosis only activated on statements from the left while blindly believing anything that came from the right. That should be a very interesting case for psychologists to study.

I mean, he's basically talking about himself. He's definitely a part of the media and he lies about whatever he wants and his followers believe him. Seems like his own statement proves he's a big part of the problem.

I won't lie, I thought something was up back in the day with Sandyhook. We were getting a bunch of mass shootings out of nowhere. The father laughing after his child was killed was weird. Not to mention the media didn't help at all when they were pushing their gun control agenda shortly after the shooting instead of giving us more information. I don't think it is a hoax now or even back then. I just questioned it all because it was just a bizarre situation.

I haven't kept up with Alex Jones, but from what I heard he is being sued by sandy hook parents. The problem I have is unless he told people to harass them, he shouldn't be sued. Reminds me a little of the situation where the president got blamed for Jews being killed in a synagogue after criticizing George Soros.

this is not true, alex jones was vehemently opposed to george bush

in fact i don't even think alex jones is on the right, he supports trump but that's because he opposes hillary's foreign policy which has lead to the deaths of millions of people in the middle east

So basically he is admitting what most of us already know - that he is a lunatic.

Oh come on, you know as well as I do that he is against most liberal values. His fucking audience is 99% on the right while the last 1% doesn't know where left or right is.

I've rather enjoyed these lawsuits as he has had to reveal time after time that he's actually pretty level headed and his whole thing is an act... essentially, he is to pundits what WWE Wrestlers are to real wrestlers.

It makes him even worse in my eyes, as he's a man who makes millions by promoting divisive bullshit he knows isn't true while selling garbage products to an audience that trusts him. At least with most conspiracy theorists there really is a degree of psychosis there and they truly believe it, but this man is just saying whatever will gain him the most money and largest audience regardless of the consequences.

Admitting there's a problem is the first step towards recovery

Was he diagnosed by a professional confirming that he has Psychosis?
Because you cant just wake up and say "i suffer from Psychosis".
