A survey from 2011? Come on, man.

A 9 year survey is pretty decent.  A lot more accurate than making up numbers.

And what would those "economic issues" be?

Because the media constantly peddles racism as the root cause

Black people have to work harder to get a job.

https://hbr.org/2017/10/hiring-discrimination-against-black-americans-hasnt-declined-in-25-years

More likely to be arrested, even when they commit less crime.  More likely to go to jail.

https://www.aclu.org/issues/smart-justice/sentencing-reform/war-marijuana-black-and-white

This leads to fewer people working jobs.  Then of course it's even harder to get a job.

The media "constantly peddles racism as the root cause" because that's what the data shows.

>Liberals don't take the high road

Political correctness, censorship and cancel culture end that argument. It's well known that Liberals eat their own and would gladly sell out their own brothers and sisters to get a retweet and an applause on social media. Anything to seem righteous. Remember when a student was shamed because she wanted to wear a Chinese dress to her prom? That was the high-and-mighty Liberals and their obsession with "cultural appropriation" there. Remember how Kevin Hart lost a hosting gig because he said some dumb shit years ago? Or what about the NASCAR driver who lost a sponsor because his dad said something stupid on the radio thirty years ago? Shit, just last year they dug-up John Wayne and shamed him.

Liberals took Weinstein down? News to me. Why can't they do anything about the rape gangs?

>proceeds to end his reply on his high horse

If putting out basic facts is "on my high horse", then sure.  We'll go with that.

>Political correctness

Conservatives have their own version of political correctness.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2016/12/07/the-right-has-its-own-version-of-political-correctness-its-just-as-stifling/

>censorship

The conservatives here do plenty of their own censorship.

> That was the high-and-mighty Liberals and their obsession with "cultural appropriation" there.

I know more liberals that shut down the "cultural appropriation" claims than otherwise.

>Liberals took Weinstein down?

Conservatives aren't exactly supporters of the "MeToo" movement.

>Why can't they do anything about the rape gangs?

Why can't conservatives do anything about all these rape gangs you keep talking about?

It was a question, not a statement. Why do Libs love to twist and turn everything?

Anyway, so they're the same issues that most people have to deal with?

It was a question that was packed with a lot of horrific assumptions.

RJTM1991, are you the guy who beat his wife last week?

See how that works?  Just an honest question.

Anyway, so they're the same issues that most people have to deal with?

Sure everybody deals with the same issues.  Not everyone  gets the same chances to overcome those issues.

A lot of tit-for-tat there. Not really answering any questions, just replying "no, you" to pretty much everything.

1. A lot has changed in nine years, my man. Plus, the survey counts black men and women, when my original post was solely about black men. Think, 13% of the population and a good chunk of them don't graduate high school. Frightening and sad.

So racism is the problem? Democrats run black areas. They've always got the black vote. Why can't they help them? Rather than brainwashing them into thinking that success isn't an option purely because of their skin colour.

Like, "you're black, so your life's going to be hard" says the white Liberal elite, not offering any help.

Dems were about to spend billions on a useless fucking bullet train but can't sink anything into inner cities.

2. >Conservatives have their own version of political correctness...

Call me when they destroy lives, castrate creativity, or "cancel" anyone with opposing views and opinions.

3. >I know more Liberals that shut down the "cultural appropriation" claims than otherwise.

https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2018/nov/05/stephen-fry-pronounces-the-death-of-classical-liberalism-we-are-irrelevant-and-outdated-bystanders

Libs went crazy with cultural appropriation a couple of years back. A tiny minority in your group doesn't change the fact that the majority hopped on the trend.

4. >Why can't conservatives do anything about all these rape gangs you keep talking about?

For the same reason that Liberals won't - they don't give a shit. However, you'd expect feminists to care.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/01/14/police-officers-knowingly-neglected-girls-exploited-grooming/

https://www.foxnews.com/world/manchester-asian-grooming-scandal

https://www.foxnews.com/us/1510-children-abused-in-rotherham-sex-scandal-new-report-says

But DOA's beach titty games? Mario rescuing Princess Peach, a damzel in distress in 2020?! So-called feminists care more about how women are represented in fiction than in reality.

Just a bunch of virtue-signalling hypocrites that are guilty of everything they accuse their opponents of.

I see you're a little bit out of the loop. I could remind you how Puritanism (and Islam, really, if we're talking about social conservatism worldwide) itself began as a huge-ass cancel movement but I'll stick to more recent facts.

Besides, "destroy lives" is literally the end result of a lot of homophobic, racist, anti-environmental activism etc. attacks all over the world.

That's all shallow, insincere, box-ticking and pandering. Liberals don't care about gays, transgender people, or anything other than power. Same with Conservatives, really. They shamelessly hop on trends all the time. It's a marketing ploy. Anything to appear cool and virtuous.

Look at the Gillette ad as an example. If they made that ten years ago, then they would've been shining a light on something that they believed was an issue. Instead, they did it when everyone else was doing it.

Also, there's usually a reason for boycotts. Ever think that it has something to do with people being insulted or excluded?

"Get Woke, Go Broke" it's almost like pushing an agenda on people isn't the way to go, eh?

Talking about games. How about Jim Sterling boasting about "personally" censoring Xenoblade?

That list is such a fun read. I'd be curious to hear how every movie that hasn't made money in recent years went woke. Apparently Robin Hood went broke because it was woke (who knows how, we'd have to have watched it to make that claim) rather than just being a bad movie, Luke Cage went woke (not sure when that happened, it had several seasons and then was canceled after a while, pretty standard stuff for a TV show. When did it go woke?), The Punisher went woke (how?), and apparently Cats was woke and that's why it didn't do well (not the horrifying cat people).

Without any reasoning this is just a list of every movie that has done bad recently and (I'm just guessing here because no reasoning is given) had a woman or a minority as the lead? The fuck does this prove?

Oof, @RJTM1991.
If you want a circlejerk "Movie Goes Woke & Broke" tinfoil echo chamber, I suggest visiting one of the numerous thismentiel threads.

I've already suggested he make new threads to cover his broad range of topics.  But he won't.  I don't think he has the will power, knowledge or wherewithal to do it.  He seems to ride on the surface of a lot of topics with no depth to any of them.

Wow, you conservatives will just make anything up to act like your opponents are just as bigoted as you! As a person who lives in a VERY liberal country, with very liberal leaders and very liberal (or just, you know, decent) people...I can assure you that 'liking gay people' isn't just some play for power. It's almost like...and get this, it's hard I know...some people are just good people that want love, passion, and equality for all.

But no, in your mind - and the mind of so, SO many people like you - it's not about actually wanting the world to be a better place, it's just some conspiracy to appeal to the people who do...want...the world to be a better place? Your conspiracy falls apart before you finish the first sentence. How the hell could a conspiracy wherein 'liberals' are just 'pandering' to gay people get ANY traction if only the LGBTQ+ population voted for them? the LGBTQ+ population is less than 20% (Last I heard it was 5-7%), so why pander to them? It makes no sense, unless you accept that...and this is tough...PEOPLE ACTUALLY CARE AND ARE SICK OF MINORITIES BEING SHIT ON ALL THE TIME.

But, no. Never. In the mind of so many conservatives, the very concept of actually caring about other people is completely foreign to them. The idea that people could vote to give OTHER people rights that aren't themselves is alien to a conservative. that's why so many 'conservative' values are just masked as ways for old, bigoted people to have their bigotry forgiven or accepted. So many conservative or right-wing policies revolve around the idea of the INDIVIDUAL, not the COLLECTIVE. Personal responsibility, guns, tradition over progression, established gender roles, religion, capitalism. The entire thesis behind modern right wing policies is 'we liked it the way it was and we don't want change.' which translates to 'we liked it better when we could call out dem queers and fags and (other racial expletives I won't even write to prove a point), and treat women like our property; all of this social progress is hindering my ability to be a bigoted, ignorant shitbag so I'm just gonna rant about how feminism and faggots are ruining amurrica'

I really, REALLY wish what I was saying wasn't true, but it's so consistent and pervasive in modern culture. all of these policies that the Republicans are pushing seem to exist solely to resist change that would give rights to minorities or women, or outright take away rights those minorities have been given, or to give those who don't wish to support these minorities the rights to be a dick about it.

Whatever happened to the right wing policies that were about personal freedom, responsibility and expression? the Republican party used to be about freedom from government control (That's actually what the political right used to represent and the basis for right-wing politics. Leaning to the right means less government interference whereas the left at its core means more government involvement), but now it's about being free from all that progress that the government and society have been pushing for so long. Republicans don't stand for what they're supposed to, they resist change and push outdated morals and values because they liked it the way it used to be, not the way it's going to be. you know, when women stayed in the kitchen, blacks sat at the back of the bus, anyone who didn't go to church was a degenerate, and fags got beat to death for wanting to love another man.

You are disillusion now because you were naive then. That's my opinion. " freedom from government control" was never innocent. It was always about control and power.

If you can't vote - you have no power.  If you don't have a job, or an education - you have no power. If you are bare foot and pregnant - you have no power.

If the government can not help the poor and disenfranchised rise up - then they get no power.

Fascinating source. It's from the same website that gave us this journalistic insight: https://www.oneangrygamer.net/2018/07/vgchartz-censors-discussion-of-naughty-dogs-sjw-agenda/63051/ (VGChartz Censors Discussion Of Naughty Dog’s SJW Agenda)

I'm having a better idea of the level of discourse we are dealing with here.
