Shock troops indeed. I'm both surprised and not. Nothing is actually surprising with Donny anymore, not really, but it is still a little shocking that actual American citizens are going to have to put their lives at risk literally over oil and nothing else, and not even our oil, but the oil of a country that sponsored a terrorist attack against us. Every time I think I'm out of faith to lose in Republicans, they defend something more dangerous, treasonous, and generally disgusting than before, and I realize that I fooled myself yet again into thinking that there's a bottom for them to sink to. If there is a bottom, it might be nuclear war, if only because we'd be dead, but they'd defend that too as they lay dying of radiation poisoning.

LOL you do realize that every congressman/woman is a millionaire don't you?  Repubs worth 1.2932 Billion Dems worth 703.7 million ... do you really think either one cares for their fellow man and is personally worth that much?

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

Uh...you sure you replied to the right person? Your post makes no sense.

The Orange Wonder actually seems to have showed some restraint .

I'd read the last few pages of this thread and yes this is directed at you. I feel like your disgust should be for all the actors in Washington and not just the republicans.   Perhaps I've missed a few things.

Isn't this all part of the established petro-dollar? SA backs the US dollar with it's oil, and in return the US backs SA with it's military?

They don't want to be confronted with a why, they need something to shake their fist at...

There are millionaires out there who fight for better social programs, worker protections and for higher taxes on millionaires. I wonder to which party those belong.

Being rich doesn't make you an automatic asshole. Supporting a party of assholes does.

Wow must be nice to be able to divide things by party lines where one side are assholes and the other side altruistic millionaires that somehow keep getting richer and richer.  I didn't know lobbyists only had one side of the aisle to work.  I thought your eyes were open more than that vivster, guess not.

No, you're just letting cynicism close your eyes to the truth (or maybe you're just pretending to be cynical and actually like the assholes). There are assholes on both sides, but one side is 100% asshole, while the other has some genuinely decent politicians that care about people.

Do you really believe that?

It's pretty damn close to 100%, yeah. I'd say the Republicans that have shown the guts to run against Trump in the primary might be somewhat of an exception, though even their politics are pretty damn heartless, so it's more like they just have a spine, they're still pretty much assholes. Maybe Kasich isn't an asshole though. He seemed alright, kind of. Schwarzenegger was also not an asshole. Sure I could dig deep and find a few not assholes, but there's only one party I have to dig all that deep for, the other it isn't really all that hard to find.

I know we haven't really been talking about impeachment much here, but there are a lot of people claiming that the transcript of the call that was released was highly trimmed down. While I think that seems pretty obvious, if you need any more evidence, according to the document, the phone call was thirty minutes long and was condensed to only five pages which would probably take about five minutes to read through.

So, lets talk about Ukraine. Nothing warms my heart than another week of Trump in the news and I have to give it the the President, he seems to always find a way to make each week interesting. With that said, it appears the wonderful people in the White House sent the Dems their talking points concerning the small scandal with Trump call to with the Ukraine President which seems to make all kinds of experts come out with opinions on the situation. So what is everyone take. Does this constitute "High Crime and Misdemeanor" or will fizzy like the Mueller investigation.
