I was wondering when they would get on the nintendo wagon. Xbox does events like this, so its good to see Sony doing it too. Nintendo leading the way and Sony following, this isnt a dig, this is actually great. This means not only do we get Nintendo news at a steady pace with directs but now we are gonna get the same but with PS4/PSVR titles, hype

They have done this before years ago for the Vita

Ya, but thats with Vita, that thing never really took off and didnt really mean much. This type of thing,Nintendo Direct styled but for PS4/PSVR is a way bigger deal.

Yeah definitely. The format will be interesting and sounds like it will probably be closer to the Xbox style (that is live streamed right?), though I hope its more Nintendo.

Hopefully it doesnt have Sid Shuman doing it though. Hes a nice guy but I really hate his presentation style

Ya it prob will be closer to Xbox's, either way still cool. I'm glad Sony is still pushing PSVR, hope some cool stuff is shown

This could be cool, hope we get some updates on Medievil and maybe even the long-dormant Wild

Hyped ! Can't wait for it.
This is another indication that sony intends to move away from E3 and spread their announcements throughout the year similar to direct.
This is way better than cramping everything at one event.
All their smaller games and PSVR stuff gets more spotlight and attention.

I'll keep an eye on it.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

People made fun and criticized the NDirects back then but they were WAY AHEAD of the competition. Looking back, this format is just the smartest thing you can do now and Nintendo really built that as strong routine over the years.

Right on the money.

They were already spreading stuff through the year at CES, GDC, E3, TGS, Gamescom, Paris, and PSX, but aside from PSX, they were putting them self in direct competition with everything else going on for coverage.

By doing their own events, on their own time, they can make announcements when they are ready, and make sure they are done when nothing else will destract from them.

I'm keeping my expectations low for this, but hopefully we get a few surprises. Something like a Twisted Metal Battle Royal or PlayStation All Stars Battle Royal 2 would be cool. This is the perfect time for Sony's typical end of the generation experimental stabs.

My biggest hope is for an update on Blood and Truth. If we get that, I'll be happy.
