This guy has leaked reliable info before, in the video he talks about how GamePass isn´t happening in Switch at least in the short term, skip to 8:00 to listen to him saying it, or just read below:

"There has been a lot of talk out there about Game Pass on the Switch. I'm hearing from multiple sources that is not happening. Let me qualify, that is definitely not happening in the near term. I can't ever say never, because Microsoft wants Game Pass on TV's, they want it on PC's, they want it on Xbox, they want it everywhere with their XCloud stuff, but as of right now I am hearing from multiple people that it isn't coming to the Switch. Obviously things could change and all that good stuff, but yeah don't expect Game Pass on the Switch anytime soon. At least that is what I'm hearing."

He is trustworthy for sure.

So who is this guy and what makes him more reliable than everyone saying it is happening

He is a writer for Thurrott, a site which was the first to leak accurate Xbox One X details, among many other accurate Microsoft leaks over the years. Thurrott has very good Microsoft sources so they would surely know rather or not Gamepass is releasing on Switch anytime soon.

If this wasn't happening, you'd think someone at MS or Nintendo would silence all the rumors.

Also, MS and Nintendo seem to have a pretty good relationship so its not that hard to believe.

Anyone actually think it was certain, hey I thought there was a chance, why not. But why would Nintendo want in on their platform?

I still imagine at best seeing them porting some of their catalog compatible with the Switch player base (like Ori and Rare games) to the Switch, nothing else.

The Gamepass thing-y is just a way to derive people from their own platform too even they would be playing it on Switch, this is all about Microsoft globalizing their ecosystem.

I figured it'd be too good to be true.

No, Brad Sams has a very good track record with Microsoft leaks.

Then it really was too good to be true. I was right to not hold my breath.
