Forums - Website Topics - VGChartz Pro?

Hey, how come when I went to see the latest Global Charts that were just posted it said I needed a membership in something called VGChartz Pro?

I used to be able to view these charts for free, now I have to pay for a subscription just to see them?

There was an error on the latest hardware charts showing up on the front page. Looks like what was done to fix that has caused the issue you are seeing. I've passed it along to the devs. Starting with 2019 we are no longer doing our own software charts as we have no way of tracking digital figures for consoles and at this point make up around half of sales depending on the console.

VGC Pro is a relic from the past, so what you're probably seeing is a bug or problem with the code. It will be fixed, just give it some time.

Oh wow! These must be new changes to the site!

Ok, thanks.

so.... do what this site has always done and swag it and adjust as needed.

If you know that digital sales make up around 40-50% (as multiple devs have announced) and use that to determine total tales.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

It's growing non stop and seems to change game to game as well as system to system. ZhugeEX referenced that it was higher on the Xbox ecosystem, for reference.

I think the site's accuracy as well as reputation is more important.

As Trunks already said - there's been some issues with our background processing that cropped up a couple of weeks ago and we're still trying to resolve. That "VGChartz Pro" graphic has ALWAYS been there - you just never noticed it, because it always appeared at the very bottom of whatever chart you were looking at - and because the charts are currently missing in their entirety, it makes that graphic a bit more obvious...

I'm thinking of signing up for the $20000 package just for the 5000x voting power perk.
