The selection was determined by the highest rated new releases of 2018 on OpenCritic at the time of writing. They were:

Out of those games listed, Smash Bros.
However, my actual favorite from 2018 is Spider-Man.

I would have voted for Spider-Man if it was an option. Otherwise SSBU.

I guess with what little options I have I'd say MHW?.

Super Smash Ultimate, since it's the only one of these I've played.

I would like to play Celeste some day though, seems like a great game (and Monster Hunter World too, but that's not really an option).

I've only played Celeste, FH4, Smash and MHW out of this list. I really love Super Smash but I think I will stop on Celeste on this one. This game is my personal GOTY tied with VC4.

I had other games in mind but it seems I'll have to pick SSBU then, though that's not to say it is the most fun I had with any Smash Bros thus far ^^

The crown would go to Xeno 2 Torna in this case.

Nothing this gen comes close to GoW.

From the list, Smash Bros. followed by Celeste.

Overall tho, my favorite game of the year is Kirby Star Allies.
