According to Reddit who got the transnational   from Chinese gaming forum "NGA" by the user name  "u/ZeroWolfe547, China Online Gaming Ethics Review Committee looked over 20 popular online games for potential "ethic risk," reportedly banning 9 of them, including PUBG, Fortnite, and Paladins. The Chinese gaming community may another crackdown on it's hand.

While others games that are ordered to be removed from market or prohibited from sale are H1Z1, Alliances of Valiant Arms, and Ring of Elysium , and also some Publisher for almost 11 games were also asked to take "corrective action ", some of them are , League of Legends, Overwatch, Diablo and Warcraft.

According to translation (assuming it's  a correct translation )  the reason they got banned because the games has " inharmonious chatroom ",  "rewards given by rank ", "distorted concepts of history and culture," "Overly revealing female characters", "Blood and gore", and vulgar content," The citation statement also applied to Fortnite which is known for a kid friendly games and no blood and gore content.

Also the reddit user explain that it's still unknown who take this responsibilities , whether it's being enforced by the regulators, or regulators would go about doing that.  The post relays claims that PUBG and Fortnite are still playable in the country . The post was also update to share that blizzard initially denied the reports through Chinese social media platform Weibo, but the post later deleted.

Another official word has come from Paladins publisher Hi- Rez Studios

“Tencent manages Paladins in China, including full operation of the game and all interface with the government in regards to the game. At this time Hi-Rez can neither confirm nor deny reports regarding a government ban, and can offer no insights on corrective action.”

As we know that Epic already part of China main land corporation "Tencent " , and Epic are the one who own Fortnite. So the title is very accurate , but still the stories is still in vague , i bet we will hear an update soon.

Banning something due to "blood and gore", "overly revealing female characters" and "vulgar content" probably means they want their citizens to live like robots, with no free will or options. It's obvious, I know, but I can't believe the fact that this kind of thing still happen in 2018...

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

They just wanna ban games cause it's not productive for their own future generations and I don't think we can blame them for it ...

Given their paltry social safety net, they at least want to build up their savings and technology as much as possible before been able to roll in their own filth like how every other developed country goes on to consuming as much as they possibly could so they don't want their development been derailed soon due to small issues like games ...

Yeah. Their entire internet situation is kind of a joke. Possibly the most heavily censored in the world outside of North Korea's "intranet". The government surveillance of it's citizens is of off the charts crazy. Then there's the weird specific tidbits I hear about: Ghost stories and anything with ghosts in it is also heavily scrutinized, and often censored or even banned. And this is one I just found by accident from a BBC article: "The government is also re-cutting many classic Chinese TV series to remove any obvious cleavage." lol. There's worse places to live to be sure, but it's still not a place I'd even want to visit, much less live in.

Chinese food for breakfast

Could you post the article? I actually love in China and want to read the article for myself. Unfortunately, I can’t access reddit as the site is banned here. So if anyone can post it that would be awesome.

Also, fortnite never has been available for play or download here.

edit: I found the post, the translation right. Concerning fortnite, my guess that it’s been banned before it was even released as that game has never been available on the App Store. POBG is the most popular game right now in China. If ³Ô¼¦ (POBG) is banned here, soooooooo many people are gonna be pissed.

Pretty sure Fortnite did launch in China but it probably has a different name and Tencent handled the localization as well ...

Sucks for the Chinese. It's really terrible how censorship heavy the Chinese government is.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Another reason why censorship and communism doesnt belong in western civilization.

Huh?
Aren't some of those games partially owned by Tencent too?

Yeah, I feel the same, which is a shame since they are a culturally beautiful and rich country . But with this kind of thing happening, we end up being forced to move away from it.
