Forums - Gaming Discussion - Relaxing Video Game Music? :)

There are some music tracks in games that just make me feel at ease when I hear them.

Aquatic Ambience (Donkey Kong Country):

Sparkle Land (Wario World):

Rito Village (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild):

Starlight Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog):

The Bath House/Sky's Hatchery (Shantae: Half-Genie Hero):

Those are just a few from me. What video game music relaxes you? :)

Transister had me in some kind of zen state, not my type of music but it hit me in the ambience feels. The whole game was one long relaxing ride. A more recent title with the same effect is Tetris effect, A zen like relaxation sim that just happens to have great and fun gameplay attached.

As for individual songs, I'm on mobile, so I can't embed them but I will mention The best is yet to come on the MGS1 credits/OST along with everything riding related in Red dead one and two specifically, the Joze Gonzales tune and the D'angelo track in RDR2.

^ Great taste! I love Transitor's soundtrack, Tetris Effect and the music in RDR2. I always found the music in Pixeljunk games very relaxing, especially Eden, Shooter 1+2, Sidescroller and 3AM (although you make it yourself in that one). I've bought their soundtracks and listened to them often on PS3. I wonder if they work on ps4?

Anything from Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Wooly World. Been listening to a lot of these games while I do final universtiy projects. Really helps me get through the nights.

Also this song from a Nobunaga's Ambition game. Never played any of the games but it has some really relaxing music.

I can literally listen to the Besaid Island theme on repeat forever, both the original and remastered versions, I can't say which I prefer better since they're both absolute masterpieces.

Yes, love Besaid Island so much. You can really get lost in thought while listening to that.
