Forums - Gaming Discussion - Remake So It Doesn't Suck?

There are crappy games like Bubsy 3D, Sonic 06, Duke Nukem Forever, etc. that had so much potential, but ended up being total embarrassments.

I sometimes wish someone would remake these games so that they, you know, didn't suck.

So what are some awful games that you'd like to remake so that they didn't suck?

Metro 2033. I haven't tried the remaster which supposedly fixes shit, but man that's one broken ass game.

How broken? What are the worst parts?

The game is supposed to allow you to either play stealthily or as a shooting warrior. The games entire stealth mechanic is broken. Not to mention the level design is pretty ass.

Zelda 2 is a shitty game mostly because of obscure progression points and overly punishing difficulty. It could actually be pretty good if remade with more modern sensibilities. Other than that, I'd really like to see Star Fox Zero without all the gimmicky Gamepad crap and with considerably more content and features, it could have been a pretty solid Star Fox game.

Epic Mickey wasn't a bad game, but it also wasn't as good as it could've been. It's a series that could really use a reboot, but it'll probably never happen.

Man, there are a ton of games with broken stealth that I'd like to see become viable. Bethesda games jump to mind.

It can't be that bad. You want a Zelda game that IS bad? Look at the Zelda CD-i games.

Which ones?

I'd like to remake Mega Man X7 so that it doesn't have any 3D gameplay, no bullshit level design, and X is playable from the start.

I would like to see a Sonic 2006 remake. The original was a complete mess, so if they remake it with decent gameplay and graphics, I would buy it.

Elder Scrolls and Fallout
