Forums - Website Topics - VGC Supporter Program Question

I noticed that each of the tiers of the supporter program offer "no adverts".  Does that actually mean no adverts at all?  If so, I'll happily pay $18 a year to get rid of the unbelievably terrible pop-ups, and the other annoying ads.

And, yes, I know I could just use an ad blocker.  But, I know that it takes money to operate a website, and I want to do my part to support the site I come to every day. Right now, I do that by looking at annoying paid advertisements.  I'd rather do it by paying directly.  I just want to make sure that I actually get rid of all of the ads, or at least all of the annoying ones.

Someone that knows about this stuff, please fill me in.

Being a member should block ads. Yes

There are no ads of any kind. It's very lovely. I'm silver now. Going gold next Feb. Or onyx/platinum if either of those tiers are added.

Correct, no ads at all.

I've now paid for supporter status. There seem to be zero ads. And, consequently, the site now loads at light speed. A much better experience, well worth the $18 (I paid $30 for silver, but I think bronze at $18 would accomplish the same thing).
