I am surprised how big of an improvement this is to ND Cube's previous Mario Party games. None of the other games ever really held my interest, but I am fairly excited for this one.

Nonetheless, I do still have two complaints:

1. I am disappointed that the online mode is limited just the mini games as opposed to being able to play the board game.
2. I think the river survival mode looks fun, though it would be nice if there were different tracks (I know it has multiple paths, but I imagine it will start to feel repetitive quite quickly as visually it would be similar).

Looking forward to this! Been so long since my last Mario Party game.

I'm still not happy with the sizes of the boards…. they are just too small. I mean they stated they want to take Mario Party series back to its roots but back then the boards were much bigger. Besides that, I think the game looks amazing. I really like that fact that they added many different modes this time around and the minigames I've seen all look very good and a lot of fun.

This actually looks hella fun. I love the new board they showed. Initially I was like, "this is small" but once you actually start moving you get a better sense of scale.

However the fact probably still stands that Hudson Soft's original board set pieces were more grand than this one so far but they aren't bad. But yeah, you can buy items, hidden blocks are back, fun mini games, and now added character dice blocks...this is shaping up to be a worthy successor of the first 8 games.

I'm definitely getting this in late November to play with my boyfriend and friends.

Btw, I'm loving that every new Switch game seems to be taking advantage of its hardware. Everything looks really good so far, and seems like Super Mario Party is no exception.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I really like how Nintendo is taking some of these franchises back to their roots but also still innovating on them at the same time. For a series like Mario Party, I think it was critical that they take this step considering many of the previous games introduces mechanics that detracted from the fun of the series (Mario Odyssey, Zelda BoTW, and Smash Ultimate have all taken a similar direction back to their roots with great results). I am personally hoping Paper Mario is next on the list and that Intelligent Systems will make a Paper Mario game on Switch in a similar vein to the original on the N64 or Thousand Year Door on GameCube

That's honestly genious, they took the car, the single most hated mechanic in the entire Mario Party franchise and turned it into a cool side mode fixing its problems, I can see it being hella fun now

honestly the lack of an online party mode makes a lot of sense. not everyone has the best wifi connection (just look at Splatoon and Mario Tennis Aces) which could lead to people dropping out in the middle of games, or even ragequitting early in the game, ruining the fun for eveyone. sure, you could limit it to friends only, but at that point its probably better to just plan a time to play in the same room with everyone

I'm pumped for this!

To all Europe gamers, Nintendo is releasing a bundle; physical copy of this game with the neon green/pink joy-cons.  But arriving more than a month after release on Nov.23rd (in time for Christmas).  I'd love it if this came to NA as well as I was actually planning on picking up the neon green/pink controllers when I pick up the game.
