Forums - Nintendo Discussion - A Nintendo IP Going Mature?

What Nintendo IP would mostly get an M-rated entry?

Zelda 2 3.70%

Metroid 32 59.26%

Sin & Punishment 6 11.11%

Xenoblade 3 5.56%

Fire Emblem 3 5.56%

Other (be specific) 8 14.81%

Total:54

I know there will probably be a lot of naysayers here, regardless of which ones I choose, but I'm curious as to see which Nintendo IP is most likely to get an M-rated entry some day.

If anything, since it already features lots of creepiness and alien gore, an M-rated Metroid would be the most likely to happen, but there are still some that could work in that direction. Which do you think? :)

I can only ever see Metroid going M rating. I don't see any of their other franchises as a viable option for it.

Kirby.

Rated M for ... too much dark lore lurking in the background.

Switch Friend Code : 3905-6122-2909

Super Bang Bros.

Dixie’s Dong Quest

Sin and... Punishment (I think we’re already good on that one).

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I opted against using an alternate spelling for the C word in Donkey Kong Country, I owed you that much =P

A picture says 1000 words, I wonder what Nintendo was hinting at with this promo-art for the original game?

I think a mature Splatoon would look something like this.

What does Bayonetta have to do to be considered Nintendo IP at this point? Do they have to buy Platinum Games?

I can only see Metroid or Fire Emblem going in that direction. It would really help Fire Emblem though because of the war setting and character deaths.

It somewhat ruined the impact of Elise's death in Fire Emblem Fates
