Da daq did I just watch...

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series X will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Let me guess, this any% speedrun makes gratitious use of the BLJ (backwards long jump) in order to skip nearly everything the game by way of gaining enough speed to clip through barriers like doors. To be honest, I think that a full 70-star speedrun (which can be done in well under an hour) is a lot more engaging to run.

Oh, by the way, did you know that Super Mario 64 can be beaten pressing the A button only once?

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

sometimes speed runs just rub me the wrong way... like "this isnt what gaming is about" (imo) and "where is the enjoyment in that"?

When your useing glitches and the like, to just get through it that fast.... meh.

While I definitely find it clever that people can find these glitches/exploits...I personally find it more impressive to see how fast someone can beat the game the way it was intended to be played. My reaction to something like this is like seeing someone finish a 400m dash in a few seconds because he walked backwards due to some bylaw everyone forgot about. Smart for sure, but seeing how fast someone can get to 70 stars and get to the final boss draws my interest more.

That being said, this is still pretty crazy, you definitely need skill to pull this off.

I don't personally acknowledge speedruns if they use glitches.

The first speedrun I ever saw was of this game, and I was pretty shocked at how fast it could be done. (Back then it was 15 mins for that particular video.)

I'm a speedrunner but if I tried to beat his time or try to get a closer time I could not achieve it . Though I never tried a full game speedrun in any game in my life just individual levels in other games . Wow I can imagine me losing patience and quiting trying a full game speed run :o

LOL are you serious?

Reminds me of this:

"Glitchless"! The best category for arbitrary workarounds to make you feel good about yourself even though you're betraying the point of the category.
