The Last of Us Remastered is among the old PS4 games that got a patch recently.
Already on PS4 the loading times are reduced by up to 18 seconds. At this rate, the game will have no loading on PS5.

I can't even remember there being much loading in the original. Going to have to try this when I get my PS5. Been wanting to replay the game for some time but have been holding off. I guess now there's another reason to!

I posted that earlier, guess you missed it xD But yeah, sounds like they are working on something it might not end up being Silent Hill. That's my take on it and reading some of the devs tweets its sounds like that too lol.

Lol. You're right. My bad.
The only new thing is the tweet stating that it's only speculation.

Quite a few sources saying that the development kits for Series X/S are behind. Plus some devs have come forward saying that the move to GDK or DX12 Ultimate (the API for Xbox Series) from XDK (Xbox One) is troublesome.

Here's a video explaining the difference in API's and how software is just as important as hardware, when it come to consoles.

TLDR/DW: Hardware isn't to an be all for performance. API and optimisations plays a massive role. Look at Apple hardware vs Android for example.

Very in-depth video with thorough tech explanation. Interesting. I wonder if this is the reason why the difference in power (on paper) isn't showing in games on PS5 and XBX.

DualSense works with Android and PC out of the box (link).

Yeah which is why people shouldn't get too wrapped up in specs when it comes to consoles. Both console manufacturers have different goals in what they are trying to achieve. In the end its what developers can do with the hardware.

As always wait for the consoles launch and games. Both are powerful pieces of tech.

And RIP DualSense in that video lol. The dual microphone is interesting (one on the back). Like they said its most likely used for noise cancellation. I hope they'll have windows drivers available out of the gate ready for use for games.

According to Gaming Trend, unboxing embargo lifts on the 27th and the embargo for other stuff lifts on the 6th (link).

A day before AMD's Big Navi event. Hmm maybe we'll get more information and an actual deep dive into the PS5 chip itself. Maybe an NDA under AMD? :o

I doubt it lol. But looking forward to previews!

I wasn't aware of the AMD event. Even if there's no collaboration with PS for the event, we'll get new details for sure.

So you did post it here.  Do you give this its own thread, yet?
