It is. Unfortunately, I am expecting Sony to do more of these going forward. I am not a fan of the franchise, so it won't affect me, but it will have an impact on millions of CoD gamers who don't buy into the Playstation ecocystem.

Exactly. And while having the bundles and the marketing rights is a huge deal, I seriously doubt the selling power of timed DLC. Casuals and its soccer moms asking the seller about the latest game for the PlayBox know jack shit about timed DLC. It has to end.

While I do agree that casuals don't care, this will affect the decision of hardcore CoD players. Most of them will move onto PS5, at least the early adopters. IMO the relationship that Sony and MS have will remain strong this gen. It's obvious that they are not looking with the same interest towards gamepass as other publishers do, IE they would probably want a way to big piece of pie for themselves. So they will stick with the tried and true formula for now, where they will seel the most full-priced games.

Bold: Yeah, that's probably the reason why these kinds of deals are still made.

Quite a few sources saying that the development kits for Series X/S are behind. Plus some devs have come forward saying that the move to GDK or DX12 Ultimate (the API for Xbox Series) from XDK (Xbox One) is troublesome.

Here's a video explaining the difference in API's and how software is just as important as hardware, when it come to consoles.

TLDR/DW: Hardware isn't to an be all for performance. API and optimisations plays a massive role. Look at Apple hardware vs Android for example.

The Last of Us Remastered is among the old PS4 games that got a patch recently.
Already on PS4 the loading times are reduced by up to 18 seconds. At this rate, the game will have no loading on PS5.

Confirmed insider Grimran Khan shares his thoughts on the rumored Silent Hill for PS5 (this is only speculation):

"I think the rumors are credible, and I know that those people are working on something – the people who are rumored to be involved in Silent Hill are working on something – I don't know for a fact that it's Silent Hill. But...I've heard enough times that 'Silent Hill is supposed to be at this thing' and then it's not there, that either a bunch of people are being fooled or it just keeps getting pulled from things. Honestly, it could be either one. I don't know for a fact."

I posted that earlier, guess you missed it xD But yeah, sounds like they are working on something it might not end up being Silent Hill. That's my take on it and reading some of the devs tweets its sounds like that too lol.
