Yeah, delays are inevitable. This is just the exclusives/timed exclusives. 2021 is absolutely bonkers!

Yeah, and this is coming off a ridiculously good showing from SCE. Next year is going to be arguably more amazing, which is nuts.

Hopefully TLoU3, the engine is more than ready for the PS5, and part 3 should definitely be closer to part 2 than 2 was to 1, considering part 2 really left an opening for a immediate sequel.

Idd, their engine already great on PS4. Iiirc they rebuilt their engine for the PS4 so this time we should get a sequel much earlier.

Final Fantasy XVI releasing in 2021!

I'm anxious for it.

Same, a back to roots (high fantasy) and mature FF. Count me in! Also can't wait to hear the soundtrack.

That's one of the things I like the most about SIE. They support their consoles right till the end even though next-gen is near.

While I remember PS2 getting God of War 2 even after PS3 launch, both PS3 and PS4 have seen crazy late life support as well.

PS3 2013:
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
God of War: Ascension
The Last of Us
Everybody's Golf 6
Puppeteer
Beyond: Two Souls
Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus
Gran Turismo 6

PS4 2020:
Patapon 2 Remastered
Dreams
Predator: Hunting Grounds
The Last of Us Part II
Ghost of Tsushima
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Sackboy: A Big Adventure
(and Horizon: Forbidden West in 2021)

You can call me crazy but I'm sure GoW5 will also come to the PS4.
No reason for it not to, it's very likely using the same engine.
I dunno if I would like that, because even as I would be able to play it on launch I will wanna want to play it on PS5 if the difference is too big xD
Unless Santa Monica says it's a PS4 game with improvements, then I'll definitely play it on PS4.

Yeah, a PS4 version could probably happen.

I do like it when games are made from the ground up to push hardware but I wouldn't have a problem with some PS4 ports in these early transition years. Also because that'd make it easier to achieve solid 60FPS on PS5.

Yeah it seems like some of the best games come at the last year. Except now we have a new GoW and Horizon coming in hot in the first year.

I wonder what they has in store for 2022 and beyond. Insomniac Games has to be working on a Spiderman sequel next. SIE Japan Studio there hasn't been much from them, though there was recent rumblings that they we're working with the old Silent Hill team for a reboot. Also Bend Studios recently starting hiring for a AAA game, presumably Days Gone 2. Then there's Sucker Punch (which I don't expect to see their next game any time soon) I think a return to Infamous would be great, especially if its a numbered release one that takes off from 2.

I'd really like one of their studios to take a stab at Syphon Filter reboot. And maybe another brand new IP from Suckerpunch.

I'm with you on that. I'd be all over a new Syphon Filter from e.g. Bend or Kojima. Curious to see if the rumors about a GoT sequel from Sucker Punch is true.

Sony Engineering lead also confirmed that the decision to make the console taller and thinner (even more on the top when standing) was an agreement between the design team and engineering team on a mean to save on costs by having a single board and single vent, while still looking not that massive or unnatractive.

Today's game is Returnal from Housemarque. If Super Stardust/Resogun is anything to go by, this will be lit.

@Replicant

Thanks for the link. I didn't realise they had a megathread for that. Cheers, will read up when I have the chance.

And I'd love to see a Kojima Siphon Filter. He could reboot a Metal Gear in all but the name lol. Talking about reboots there's a rumour that MGS is getting a reboot and its a PS5 exclusive.

I really want Syphon Filter sequel to happen. Or could even be a remake or reboot. On PS1 I loved Syphon Filter and didn't like MGS1 (the graphic difference between both was huge). Now thinking harder I would say that Syphon Filter is a lighter and easier MGS and much more enjoyable for me.

Brah.. Super Stardust is legit. Really want to play this one. We only saw snippets of gameplay but it looks like it has the potential to be quite fun to play. Might have a semi-decent story too.
