A quick glance at some future Nintendo Switch releases between now and the end of the year, not including Indie games.

6/15 - LEGO The Incredibles
6/22 - Mario Tennis Aces
6/29 - Wolfenstein II; Crash N-Sane Trilogy
7/13 - Octopath Traveler; Captain Toad
7/27 - Go Vacation
8/28 - Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
9/11 - NBA 2K19
9/28 - FIFA 19
10/02 - Mega Man 11
10/05 - Super Mario Party
10/16 - Starlink: Battle for Atlas
11/16 - Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee!
12/07 - Smash Bros. Ultimate

Other games with no specific date, just a 2018 release - Dark Souls: Remastered, The World Ends with You: Final Remix, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, Team Sonic Racing, .

Well, in terms of 1st Party games, there's a 3 and a half month gap between Aces and Super Mario Party, so that's a bit of a bummer. But at least there's still Octopath Traveler in between, which, while not 1st party IS exclusive. One big luxury that Nintendo has now that they didn't have in 2016 was plenty of 3rd parties to fill in the gaps.

Crash Trilogy-June 29

Captain Toad-July 13

Okami HD-Aug 9

Two and a half months between Captain Toad and Super Mario Party, actually.

And dead centre of that will be Online and whatever the heck it brings.

Bold move to not show big future projects beyond 2018 for a conference as big as e3.

this Nintendo E3 was kinda lame? or just me?

Pokemon Lets Go = laaame.... casual friendly mobile tie in, lazy pokemon.
Mario Party = meh not into these games
Smash ultimate = not into fighters, and if I do it has to be KI or SF = Meh
Fortnite on switch = cool, but others have had this forever.
Fire Emblem 3 houses = cool.
+ small indies

Well, to be fair, Nintendo had stated beforehand that Zelda was going to be the only game they would show off at E3. So, people knew to temper their expectations before E3 even started. And because Breath of the Wild was THE game everyone was asking about for 2 years up to that point, when they finally showed it and it looked absolutely incredible and breath-taking (pun intended) people gave them the win because they had the sense and feeling that "this game may be the best one they've ever made."
As for this year, it could have helped if Nintendo had stated beforehand that "this Direct will focus heavily on Smash, there will be a few new games we will show off as well, but mostly Smash." Then that would have tempered some people's expectations like Sony did beforehand. I agree that those people who are giving 1s, 2s, and 3s out of 10 and calling this shit, a failure, bomb, etc. etc. need to calm down and take a chill pill because this was nowhere near that bad. But, I can understand where they are coming from.

ISn't that literally exactly what they did? I mean, everyone I talked to knew going in that it was going to mostly be Smash related. All the locals here knew it, I saw it on this forum a lot, and all the youtube stuff I was watching (stuff like "What to expect at xx's E3 presser") all said that Nintendo would be focusing more on smash.

No idea where the surprise came in, it was exactly what I was told by multiple sources and exactly what I expected (And was luckily exactly what I wanted)

They also did that last year with Mario Odyssey, but it simply got a modest and awesome trailer. They went more indepth during the treehouse. Only natural to have expected similar to happen this year.

Fire Emblem delayed to 2019 means that I'll have to wait at least 3 more years for an Advance Wars game. Oh well, with some luck I will be able to skip the Switch and jump directly to the next Nintendo system.

Didn't Xbox players annihilate Playstation players when they accidently cross play ? Is Fortnite cross play with Xbox One and Switch ?

Fortnite is cross play between xbox, switch, pc and mobile. Also PS4 can play with PC and mobile too but not other consoles.
