The official gameplay reveal will release tomorrow!

It's not a great teaser, kind of cheesy honestly and not in a good way. As one of the top commenters on the leak of the ad version of the teaser said, it should have been more Mad Max: Fury Road and less Suicide Squad, and he is absolutely right. The original Rage was designed to appeal to Mad Max fans and Rage should continue to be designed to appeal to Mad Max fans. I would be quite disappointed if they went the full on comedic route with Rage 2, we already have the Borderlands series for anarchistic comedy, Rage should continue to take a somewhat more serious approach when it comes to it's depiction of anarchy. Some comedy is fine, Rage 1 had some comedy as well, but don't overdo it please.

I want Rage 2 to further refine the things that Rage 1 got right (good graphics, good combat, great AI) and improve the things that Rage 1 got wrong (storytelling, world building, driving) while keeping the same Mad Max like aesthetic and tone that the fans loved.

Hm... now show me the gameplay.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti 11GB VRAM / 3090 (Placeholder)| Asus PG27UQ gaming on 3840 x 2160 @120 Hz GSYNC HDR| HTC Vive Pro :3

Reached PC master race level.

Not a very good first impression of the game, but we'll see tomorrow when we actual gameplay

a lot of people are complaining about the "new" feel the game is going to have from the look of this reveal need to look a bit deeper. savages, mutants, the whole 'mad max' aesthetic are present, and i have no doubt the gameplay reveal will shine more light on that fact

By the way, the developer is Avalanche, and the consoles its being develop for are PS4, XOne and PC.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Interesting, that's the same studio that made Mad Max and i really liked that game.

That is great news. Since we know that the Just Cause team at Avalanche is making Just Cause 4, that means that the Mad Max team at Avalanche is making Rage 2. Considering how similar Rage and Mad Max are, I can't think of a better developer for Rage 2. I just hope it's less repetitive than the Mad Max game they made was.

We have boxart:

Don't really like the boxart or marketing for the game so far, but I have high hopes regardless. The official description sounds good at least:

"Dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. Rage 2 brings together a true open world FPS experience where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything."

I'm really glad they went full open world with Rage 2, instead of quasi-open world with large connected zones like Rage 1.

I did enjoy the first game minus the lack-luster ending and a few other issues. This IP has a lot of potential and could turn into a signature franchise for Bethesda. I'm looking forward to the gameplay reveal tomorrow.
