If and when we gain the tech to interface with digital technology, perhaps even fully port our consciousness to the digital space and distort that space so far as to exponentially expand our knowledge, brain function, awareness etc to such an extent that explore the universe without mortal boundaries, perhaps creating species and reshaping planets or molding along what is already there as we inhabit the remainder of the universe or simply influence everything as we see fit over vast time scales and beyond that, perhaps that we surpass the boundaries placed upon us by natural law and space time and instead create out own universes, becoming God essentially in both our universe and the ones we create.
Should we? Shouldn't we?
What are the arguments for an against this? I see it as being the case that if we reach that point, it's already a natural cycle and most likely we were created in the same way. So for me the question becomes, should we break the cycle? Infact...
I believe we already do this by default, from reshaping landscapes of the natural earth, to agriculture to building tools to break the boundaries placed upon us, we always seem to break past them. Why should gaining power over the fundamentals over our universe be any different than the ability to speak to a person 12 thousand miles away on the other side of the planet seemingly by what people would call telepathy 50 years ago.Last edited by John2290 - on 23 March 2018
