It's a term for overzealous progressives or when progressivism/social justice goes too far. It has no other meaning.

The two comedy specials I watched recently (Gervais and Chapelle) both touch on how the biggest issue in comedy these days are the sacred cows and offense.  If you want people to feel alien to one another, make it impossible to joke about each other.  I say this as someone who has certain buttons that comedians push, and I understand context and ability to move on.  If you are offended, don't watch and don't support the work of those that offend you.  The leap is to demand no one be able to enjoy them.

The shift I've seen is in the 1990s it seemed to be conservative groups who were the offended by sex, violence, and language "Think of the children!" and were the censors in society.  Now increasingly hear cries from the left about "You can't joke about that!" "Oh, you think X is funny?!" causing tempest in a teacup on twitter.

What happend? he has been let off the hook so to speak yet?

Really tired of the Pc Fucking Bullshit! The people championing and defending these fucking cases where people get their feelings hurt and sue (some of it even leading to jailtime or arrest); you guys are a bunch of dumb fucking cunts. The people who is see defending this shit constintantly are the whiniest, self-entitled posters I see all the time here. They fucking play dumb or lure you to say just enough (even though what they are saying is just as ignorant), then “BAM!”. Dumbass mods come in feeling bad cause what someone else said sounds mean.

This site has been going down the gutter for years anyways and i dont login barely, so go ahead and ban me if you must. They only thing that pisses me off, is that these dumbasses who think this cencorship agenda and protecting people’s feelings, actually think this is good. Wait until the day comes when something that you thought was perfectly fine, becomes illegal and you get arrested for it (or even a 1984 esque mindthought crime).

I do look forward to the fucked up attacks, cherry picking and hypocracy replies I will get back for this post.
