Well, I'm not that fond of MS, but that wouln't be much of a hurdle if I loved their games enough.
I mean Sony and Nintendo also pull some shit that I don't like much and that doesn't prevent me from buying their consoles. Nintendo will probably always get my sale unless they start putting BF2 style lootboxes/microtransactions into their games, I just love their game design and franchises that much.

I am fairly impressed with the Xbox 1X especially in regard to the backwards compatibility improvements they are doing with it. I've been in love with Cuphead ever since it was announced and I'm very interested in The Last Night. Everything else I was interested in either got canned or ended up being rather mediocre, unfortunately.

So yeah, the x I wouldn't mind picking up for cheap down the line, but it woud be mostly for multi plat and backwards compatibillity and isn't a priority for me.

I’ve never been interested in their ecosystem. They started off on the wrong foot with me with that terribly fat controller, the “x” branding, doubling down on the “x” branding with a giant ego-based “x” on their console itself, and the majority of games especially in those early years were 3rd party shooters/FPS shooters and sports games, some of my least favorite.

PlayStation was more than enough for me at the time and when I didn’t seek a secondary console I found the very fun GameCube.

Nothing has swayed me their direction since then, except the occasional announcement of a game like Viva Piñata or Shadow Complex. Neither were enough for me to own the console, however.

i have a 360, and a PS4, but i had my first kid, and bougth my first house just before ps4/xbox one got out, so lack of money and time, i decided to play exclusively on my pc.

Now that i have more money, and a little bit of time, i realised that with 2 kids i have limited access to my tv, so i decided to buy a switch in addition to my pc

There is no reason for me to own one.

Wait, seriously?

I have one and don't play on it, literally just a media player to sling movies from the NAS to the TV.

Xbox fucken' sucks, and that's why switch is going to shit all over it sales wise in less than a third of the time.

As an xbox one owner I'm not really recommending it to other people now. It seems the Xbox is not really competing with ps4 numbers and many exclusives are available on pc now as already pointed out it's just seems like a console that has lost the battle and is in decline. I may pick up a xbox one X if seriously discounted but I think there is much more value in ps4 with a wider range of exclusive games coming from all around the world. Microsoft aren't really responding to the drop in sales so it feels like they have accepted the decline and at some point may even withdraw from producing games consoles. It feels like a year from now Xbox will be even more marginalised and it probably won't take much longer than that for Switch to overtake it.

My PC is now an Xbox game machine. There is zero need to invest in an Xbox console ever again.

A1 - I have a gaming PC.

That by itself would be enough but, beyond that, I don't really wanna. It's actually nothing against *Xbox*, it's that I dislike and distrust Microsoft. I don't want to be part of any ecosystem they develop.

Also, they still owe me money from GFWL.

I DO have a Xbox One, but only to play X360 games and for multimedia purpose.

netflix 4K and some 4k movies.
