I don't really have access to my Wii U anymore, so I can't play Splatoon anymore.

But why? Whats bothering you so much? |
They nerfed guns, removed defense and offense-up abilities, made the levels easier to navigate and got rid of some things I enjoyed like the Inkstrike etc. Overall, the game is a lot more intuitive and beginner friendly... in my opinion.

Haha, yeah that would have been a better question. I still play it from time to time just to check how awesome some games were. Like Pikmin 3, MK8, Bayo 2, YWW, SM3DW, TW101 or DKCTF. I won't double dip on most of these, btw, so I will still play them from time to time on the Wii U.
I've never played 1 or 2. Doubt that ever will, as i don't care for multiplayer.

Hmm well I don't know about easier navigation. That's subjective. Also, I have the impression that they nerfed the guns in order to balance the game much more. In Splatoon 2 I never feel overpowered no matter what weapon I pick whereas I used to dominate most matches when I used an N-Zapper in Splatoon 1. Therefore, I actually think Splatoon 2 is more difficult instead of beginner friendly.
Then again, I guess you meant that Splatoon 1 was more beginner friendly, didn't you? xD In that case, forget what I said.
What I absolutely enjoy more in Splatoon 1 are the special weapons in general. I feel that those in Splatoon 2 are mostly useless.

Sorry guys, you've probably misread the title. It's meant to adress people who actually played both games. Still, thanks for the comments anyway.
I have recently and I gotta say I miss the Inkstrike from the OG. It'd be great if Nintendo could bring that and other things to Splat2 in an update or something...

Yes.
Mainly to finish up some of the Wii games and replay Bayonetta 2 and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I have dipped back into Splatoon after getting the sequel. It takes a minute to get used to the controls but I think anyone that likes the franchise should do so. It does point to some improvements and failings of Splatoon 2 in terms of maps design and structure but it is worthwhile in my opinion.
I also feel like the first had a better soundtrack overall...
And while Marina is bae, I find myself enjoying the banter between her and Pearl far less entertaining than Callie and Marie...
And Ink Strike needs to come back at some point...
Have a nice day...
