Forums - General Discussion - Half A Billion Fewer Animals Are Being Killed Every Year Since 2007 As People Eat Less Meat

Omnivores ftw.

Vegetarianism and vegans are destroying an industry! What about them poor butchers who have a family to feed! Inhumane, I tell ya!

I wish it said where exactly. Is this US only? Or worldwide?

Does that mean half a billion animals fewer are being born too? After all no need for them to the industry.

Not eating meat? Hmmm...never thought about that......and I never will again. Yum.

Well, I'll admit I was wrong; I thought Switch momentum would slacken in the early months of 2018.

Curl, I know that was tough to do, but it is good that you admitted it. I been wrong such as: I was super pessimistic on switch in general, think I predicted 25-33 million max at one time and I am wrong about that.

Indeed and in which case they don't get to exist as opposed to ceasing to exist.

I actually eat meat every single day, I don't remember the last time I had a meal that didn't have some sort of meat in it... and I don't think that will be changing any time soon either, lol. I don't mind people going veggie or vegan, as long as they don't try to make me feel bad for eating meat, it's what our fathers did, and our father's fathers, and our father's father's fathers, and our farther's father's farther's fathers, and our farther's fa-okay that's enough, no need to make a Monty Python reference, lol.

Not only did they eat much meat. Those guys ate perhaps 5 to 10 times more meat.

Brave lads, we can't measure up to those guys .

Actually, most people could barely afford any meat at all until fairly recently. Meat was more of a weekly thing before the 1950s.

I should have clarified that i was talking about pre civilization. We had to pay a certain price for civilization .
