Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will Vgchartz update to the numbers given by Nintendo?

Because there is a bit of a gap between their shown numbers, and Mario Odyssey no?

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Nintendo just posted those numbers.Machine has finally acess to the tools that allows him to update the numbers on a more timely fashion.Give them time.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Of course not. What do you think this is? Some kind of sales charts site?

Yes.

You have to take into account that Nintendo's numbers are shipped + digital and the numbers from VGChartz are sold-through with no digital sales included.

VGC software looks to be a good few weeks behind Nintendo's report so some of the difference will be in those weeks. Then there's also the fact that Nintendo's figure is shipped + digital, while VGC's is physical sold through to consumer, so VGC's should definitely be lower anyways.

Given the difference, there probably still are adjustments to be made. But they won't (and shouldn't) be adjusted to match exactly because they aren't numbers for the same thing.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Nintendo's number includes digital though and is shipped, right? So the VGC number for the same timeframe should be lower.

3DS-FC: 4511-1768-7903 (Mii-Name: Mnementh), Nintendo-Network-ID: Mnementh, Switch: SW-7706-3819-9381 (Mnementh)

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019

Predictions: Switch / Switch vs. XB1 in the US / Three Houses first quarter

The software numbers are difficult to adjust since Nintendo makes no distinction between digital and retail, whereas VGChartz does. Hardware numbers should be easy to fix, though.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I will be adjusting the hardware figures shortly. I have to update the figures one region and one platform at a time, so expect the numbers on the front page to take time to update.

Exactly this for software. Once I'm able to post the final few weeks of December I'll have a better idea of how far out each of the top sellers is.

As for hardware I'm sure Will will work on adjustments as soon as he possibly can.
