Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Mario Maker Sequel?

Slopes!!

If I had to guess, I'd guess that they'll merge 2D Mario with Mario Maker. ie. you'll have your normal 2D Mario campaign with its worlds and levels and whatnot, and you'll have the level creator as in Mario Maker U.

The Switch screen has touch features, doesn´t it?
I´m sure a sequel will be made, eventually..... I hope they let us use more characters, not tied to amiibos

it does.... but no stylus... (i think) unless i dont know where it is hidden :P

I think bundling a stylus would be viable. You can by styluses that work reasonably well on tablets and smartphones for like, $4.99 at the drugstore.

Honestly I expect Super Mario Maker for Nintendo Switch is a matter of when, not if. The Wii U version sold what, 4 million copies?

A new, fully featured version on Switch should be another 5-10 million seller for Nintendo. I expect we've not seen it yet because a) they're figuring out the level creation aspect of it (portable only, or include tv with joy-con aiming?) and b) Nintendo know they need to spread out their major sellers.

I think there will be new 2D Mario before Mario maker - or they include Mario maker as a separate mode in the next 2D Mario game .... that'd be huge i think

i hope it comes I skipped mario maker on wii u when i heard about the NX

Me too, sort of. At least the ones that didn't do as well as they should've, like The Wonderful 101 or Star Fox Zero.

Id really like color splash and star fox zero without motion controls n maybe add online multiplayer

Gotta need some kind of 3D Mario making ability.
