The thing is, with sandbox games you have to add a lot of features to make double dipping worthwhile. I enjoyed MM, but I won't buy it again unless they add a bunch of new features. If they just allow a new art style or some more random skins, that isn't enough for me; the game needs to fundamentally improve in order to make it worth it.

I'd love a game that's both a full 2D Mario game and a full Mario Maker.

I think another Mario Maker would be detrimental to the series.
They should move on form the NSMB series and make full fledged new 2D Mario title.

This is one of the WiiU games they shouldn't port but instead make an all new one.

I'd love to see more things from Super Mario World, especially enemies and worlds like vanilla dome, forest of illusion etc. At least 2 different music tracks available for each level. AND I want to make diagonal ground ^^

I hope we see something like the Miiverse to share comments for levels. Maybe they annouce it with their paid online service. Mario Maker 2 would be a pretty good game to promote their paid online.

I really hope Mario Maker (port or sequel) comes out on Switch. Didn't have Wii U but Mario Maker just seemed like a brilliant idea and it would be a must buy for me on Switch.

People are saying 2D Mario and Mario Maker in one title. While that would for sure be nice why would Nintendo ever do that when then can sell millions of each separately! But in terms of new 2D Mario game I hope they just change up the style of from the New SMB series as it seems like its getting a bit old at this point.

At this point, I think they should make a sequel instead of porting the Wii U one (same with Smash).
